Service is not great but the food is reasonably average. If you have an itch for jerk chicken or oxtails in the area, get it.... You can find better Caribbean options though. Read more

IG: The Rideshare Foodie for easy around America! This month im visiting the city of Austin and i stumble on this culinary gem... and folks, this place delivers! I ordered the delicious "fall off the bone" oxtails. You will enjoy your a an experience along with huge pieces of Oxtail in the process. Along with my plate came my choice of two sides. I chose both the fried plantains andsteamed rice with brown stew over top (so delicious) and a side order of the "Jerk Chicken" which was grilled with spices toperfection! You can order a special plate entree or you can build your own plate A la carte. Then, watch as Janelle (owner)prepares your meal to order and once you hear the music stops and she calls your name... It's time to dig in! I highly recommendthis joint I found randomly but so glad I gave this food truck a visit. #theridesharefoodie Read more

I sat in my car for an hour waiting for this place to open for no reason. As a Jamaican who can cook West Indian food this food... was not up to par outside of the rice, salad and Trinidadian callaloo. I believe they used Indian curry for the goat or cookedit same day. I don?t know but I was disappointed. It didn?t even have scallion, ginger, garlic, salt or pepper but I liked thatI had more meat then bone . The oxtail lord I don?t know. I tasted it prior to take for lunch tomorrow and fed it to my cat.Austin is only good for American food. I miss the east coast ???? These West Indians in Texas cook for the taste buds of themajority (the good reviews are from people who don?t know better) and not to the authenticity of the culture. I give it 3 starsthough because the owner was kind. Update: What I stated was I can cook West Indian food. To be specific Jamaican, Guanaynese, panamanian and Lucian. everyone has the same dish with slight difference. The one in round rock, NYC and Washington DC aregood. If you remember I was excited to eat your establishment because but in turn it was a waste. Why would I return if yourfood is nasty. That makes no sense. This food truck is EXCEPTIONAL! I love island food and this food is one of the best in the Greater Austin area. The under 4... rating is absolutely not deserving, as some of the people that gave them a low rating because they might have found a bone in ameat dish! That is how traditional island food items are served. Where on the menu did they say boneless meat! If you are goingto eat someone's food, respect their culture. If you are looking to eat a bland wrap, go to Subway. The other reason some peopleseem to complain is the wait can be a bit long, which is somewhat true, but good food takes time. If you order the oxtail, it ispossible it will take 30ish minutes. That being said, the food at this place is very tasty. Definitely order the Doubles. Thebread on the doubles they make are slightly different from some of the other ones i had. But the quality of the bread is stillvery high and makes it tasty. I had Goat curry with a side of Bhaji. The goat was soft and juicy, i wish the portion was alittle bigger but other than that it was great tasting. This truck is tucked inside the food truck park on East 6th. There issome street parking available around the park. They run out of food very quickly, by mid day sometimes, so planaccordingly. The owner and the staff are super friendly. I Highly recommend this place Read more
