6 stars. The food tastes like it’s homemade and with love. The Baklava was so good I almost cried. I think the chef has... magic. I do add a little salt for my tastes, but probably healthier without! This is the second time I am getting the Kobideh Kabob with rice and the kabobs skewers are so thin that literally they split... one into two. It is very disappointing and greedy of the owners to do this scam. NEVER buy from them. Read more
My favorite persian/middle eastern restaurant in Austin! By far one of the best tahdig I had, up there with my grandma’s... recipe! They start you off with noon, walnuts, cheese, and butter, and bring refills as well. Every food item i’ve tried hereis tasty and filling. The first time I went was so good, I had to come back the next day for more! The atmosphere is very cozy,yet beautiful with natural flowers all around. Servers are very kind and assertive, as well as the cooks in the back beinggreat! Everything came out pretty fast, being fresh and warm. There’s even a cafe attached to the restaurant with deliciouspastries, I got the tiramisu which was delicious! Even if you’ve never tried Persian food I recommend giving this restaurant ashot! We ordered the 5 persons plater : has chicken, kabab, grilled tomatoes and two different kinds of rice. It’s good and tasty.
No matter how much I talk, it won't be enough to tell how much we were glad to eat there. The staff is sooooo friendly, the... service is great. If you don't know what are ordering, they will help you. The food is so good that makes you feel you're eatingat home. Try the Makhloot, it's really good for dessert. For appetizers, trust me they're all worth to try and you won't regretit. Excellent service provided to us at this charming place serving up authentic, quality Persian cuisine. Relaxing environment... indoors. Wait staff very friendly. Restaurant is also connected to a Cafe which has pastries and and after-dinnerdrinks. Unlike another Persian restaurant around ATX that I tried a couple months ago, Shandeez is definitely a place I'll bereturning to. Read more
