Thin crust Neapolitan style pizza. Margarita and even simple cheese were really good. Pastrami used to be better, but it is... still ok. Affogato was huge and was too much ice cream to my taste. Read more

I visited Pious tonight. I had such a lovely time. You order online and then pickup at window. There is no seating inside but... lots of shaded seating and fans outside. I never felt hot. We visited @ 6:00. There is a space where kids were playing soccerand there were a group of girls spiking a volleyball towards each other. The sun started to set. It was beautiful and magical. The food was equally amazing. The pizza was delicious and they are known for their homemade pastrami and mozzarella. It did notdisappoint. If you are looking for family friendly outdoor place that is a beautiful drive away then this is it. Read more

Pieous house salad - the Choppy - is THE. BEST. THING. EVERRRRR. ???????????? it has house-made mozzarella, roasted chick peas,... and the most bombass dressing in the universe.! (ProTip - order an extra container of dressing to-go, for your upcoming week'ssalads or charc plates ????????) Bubs and I think it's *extra* magical if you add some pastrami and/or pepperoni (it's thelittle slices that cup up when heated) to the Choppy. Magical enough that we'll regularly drive from San Antonio to DrippingSprings just for friggin salad, y'all! SOOOOO GOOD!! We *always* order a Choppy, but sometimes supplement with the Pieous Plate(pastrami, sourdough, awesome pickles & stoneground mustard, onions) (Pieous pastrami is seriously the best thing this side ofan NY deli!)(For real! Like, per request, we've bought a whole pastrami brisket and dry-ice shipped it to New England on severaloccasions - *that* good.) or a Neopolitan wood-fired pizza - my fave is Rocket, with all its yummy arugula and garlickyness, helikes Fat Queen, with allll the meats and red sauce. Affogato are an every-meal contractual obligation (I mean...we drove allthat way. Gelato & espresso bang for my miles, plz! ??????????) and I can occasionally talk my way into some perfect cheesecaketoo, "for special occasions". (Like....we made it thru another day of life in Texas "special occasion" lol) Duuude, do I everhope they open the dining room again soon! Read more

Pastrami is juicy and has a great crust. They offer cheese to add to the sandwich. Good grief. I had no idea it was going to be... thick, cold slabs of mozzarella. It made the thin sourdough soggy and was disgusting together. The pizza tasted underdone andratio of crust is too high. I would never order their pizza again. Read more

We drove 25 minutes From Austin because we?ve heard people talk about their cinnamon rolls. So the pizza must be amazing! It was... good, plain pepperoni- not magical. I?ll tell you why the rating is not 5 stars. The experience was rough - to say it mildly. You must order online (which is not front page online) and then in about 20 minutes they will call your name at the window. Onlyseating outdoors when it?s 55* and the sun is setting. They have lots of indoor space but it?s storage for all their pizzaboxes?! My lips were shivering. There are no warmers outside. Families with little babies and people on dates are all eatingfrom a box outside in the cold ???? we never got to try the cinnamon roll because it?s sold out by 5:30pm when we arrived. Notperfect environment but always your choice if you fancy their pizza. When is spoke with the owner/ manager he stated that theydid not have enough staff to open indoors ? Hmm. Business was busy while we were there. Read more

Great pizza and good value. The dining room is closed and there is takeout and patio seating. Perhaps if I were from Austin I... would understand the inconsistency of the application of COVID restrictions. Homeslice has dining in, and other establishmentsdining in. Not sure why Pieous doesn?t. So I?m taking a star off for that. I?m also taking a star off for not having anybathroom facilities. For those of us over 50 years old who travel just to get to that restaurant because of its reputation, theycould at least provide a Port-a-Potty. Read more

Soft, cloud-like pizza: this is the closest I have found in the US to real, napolitana pizza. The pastrami sandwich was also... very filling and delicious. Read more

Flavor: A Service: B Tea: B Solo dining : A Pieous is serving up some delicious and unique pizzas! I had the smoky Italian and... loved it. It was a little soggy in the middle so next time I'll ask for it to be cooked longer. Ordering on the app was soconvenient (and allows everything to be customized). Our server didn't know the answer to most of our questions but he didalways come back with one. Even though they're serving on their really large patio, they aren't allowing access to theirrestrooms which seems strange. They only have unsweet tea and didn't seem to offer refills. All else was great and this was aperfect lunch spot not far from where we were staying in Dripping Springs. Read more
