Really good burgers. It's clean. The parking is good but one way in and out. Neighborhood type place as all Phil's are. Outside... dinning. Allows dogs. Amy's ice cream is attached. Another Saturday that I woke up craving for a burger, so after watching marching band's performance, we headed to Phil's... Icehouse for lunch. Since it has been a while (and, I was very hungry), I went all in by ordering the "Phil-A-Buster" which is adouble meat, double cheese burger with onions, tomato, lettuce, pickles, mayo, and mustard. In addition, I also got a side ofmixed fries that consisted of regular potato and sweet potato. The burger was cooked just right and with each bite, the juicyand tender beef patties reminded me that I made a great choice. It was very satisfying. Brought the family for a night out. The Rosedale Burger was excellent! I love that you get a mix of regular and sweet potato... fries. My kids both enjoyed their meals and the craft soda was really good! It was so nice to have a play area outside andAmy's Ice cream next door for dessert! Read more
Phil?s Ice House has been around for many years because of the great burgers. I hadn?t been for a good bit but was glad I had... another burger there. It got 4 stars because the restaurant got really smoky inside. I don?t think they burned any of theburgers just that it has poor ventilation. My mushroom burger was good. What a dump! Sticky floors, no AC, and dated depressing interior. Felt bad for the employees. Went for the outside playhouse in... for my toddler. Outside was okay. Too many used cups and straws all over the ground but the playhouse itself was cool and hadenough seating. Most of it is gated except one side so felt safe to let the kiddo run around while we eat. The adult chickentenders rank as one of the worst I have ever had. After a few minutes, the meat dried up and was hard and pretty much inedible.The mixed fried (regular fries and sweet potato fries) were pretty good. The fish sandwich is on par with McDonald's fishfillet sandwich except more expensive. Service was good and helpful. If there's a next time, I'll opt for the burgers as that'stheir main thing. Second time I have been here. Really great family environment, great tasting food, big bang for price too. The bread is like a... sourdough bun which I really liked. Made my own burger with turkey patty, avacado, mushrooms and cedar cheese. Great blend andseasoning and the house sauce was perfect. Had half regular half sweet potato fries. I am going to review this for the burger connoisseur, so keep in mind the limits. I am not reviewing service, setting, and... overall experience. We preferred a couple burgers and onion rings.
