Our food was very good. The hamburger was cooked just as I ordered. My wife said her panini was very good, too. Strange that the... panini wasn't pressed, but cooked like a grilled sandwich. Generous amount of fries as well. Orders for food were taken at thehostess stand before seating. Took off a star because I thought it very forward that I was asked if I wanted to include agratuity before we had any service. I'm not used to that idea for a restaurant. Read more
Love going here for lunch! It does get busy so go early or expect to wait. Staff is always friendly and bathrooms are always... clean. I like that they change up the menu too. Read more
Used to be great and high quality - what happened?? Cafe Bistro in Barton Creek was a family favorite - high quality, very... tasty cafe options at our favorite department store. Maybe a tad pricey, but it was always reliably very good and preparedwith fresh, premium products. The Cilantro Lime Shrimp Salad and French Dip were exceptional. Unfortunately, that is no longerthe case. The past 3 visits were extremely disappointing (except for the fries and olive dip, of course). The shrimp wererubbery and tasted pre-made - the previous day at best. Today, the shrimp weren't even re-cooked and served cold and slimy -inedible. But the French Dip may best explain the precipitous downfall of this Austin eatery. Due to "corporate decisions" theFrench Dip no longer uses shaved Prime beef, but instead a substandard option that tastes like microwaved deli meat. Prettysure Arby's would be better than what I was served. Both the waitress and manager lamented this "corporate decision" that hasresulted in a lot of complaints and a low quality, bad tasting sandwich. It is sad for me to see a favorite restaurant withseveral family favorite options fall to such low standards, but doubly for me, as this decline reflects poorly on the Nordstombrand. If "corporate decisions" are being made to deliver lower quality options at the same premium price, hard not to thinkthe same bad (cost-cutting?) corporate decisions are being made across the board at Nordstroms. My wife and I visited for lunch. We were recommended this place by a friend of ours who used to work at Nordstrom. This place is... delicious! We did have to wait for a table, but not too long. It was a busy time. My wife tried a fig and berries salad, whileI had the French dip prime rib sandwich. Both were out of this world. The prime rib was very tender and flavorful! We ended themeal with some bread pudding for dessert. Very tasty! It is a bit pricey, but worth trying out! Read more
The food here is outstanding, you would never know since it is tucked away in Nordstrom. The food is out of this world for being... found at a mall. The staff is friendly as ever just per all Nordstrom employees. The service is great, the price that you payfor food is fantastic as well. There is nothing to complain about. I love the food and the atmosphere is so delightful for beingin a mall. You would think this is a 5 star restaurant! Read more
We have eaten here at least 6 times in the past year and each time walked away happy. The food is excellent (their fries are... awesome), but know that the menu changes from time to time. So you might fall in love with a dish and then it might not bethere the next time you go. We have never had a bad experiece here. Theynhave the right balance between greatb servce and notbugging you too much. Read more
placed an order for food both to go and dined in, food is well prepared, portioned, and also family friendly. it is worth the... wait however if you are impatient you have someone in your family or friend hold a place in line, just remember its about 10-15minute wait or longer depending on the day of week or any type of promotion Nordstrom does in store. I have long to love thecilantro lime shrimp salad, the soup of the day, chef's special, sandwiches and new items I usually taste while I am there. Whynot check it out for yourself. Food was great but the hostess was rude so killed the experience for us. We asked for a table and she kept repeating ?order... here? and rolling her eyes since we didn?t know to order then be seated. Never going back Read more
