I love to support my local businesses, and I love to brag that up north, we have the best Asian food. Well our little circle at... Spicewood Springs got a wonderful new addition when Michi Ramen opened their doors for takeout last year, in the Asian Market.Michi is fast, their customer service is hassle-free, and the ramen is great, even when you take it to go! My favorite is theSapporro with spicy ground pork, add a perfectly cooked ajitama egg! Read more

This ramen place is located inside Asia market. It's a cute little make shift place inside the shop. While waiting for your... order you can spend time looking around the market and shopping for groceries. We got the meat lovers and veggie ramen. Themeat lovers ramen smelt so good and it tasted amazing. We got the meat lovers ramen with pork and chicken bites which tastedperfect with the pork broth. We got the veggie ramen with miso base and it was a bit on the sweeter side despite adding spicychilly oil to it. We also added shitake mushroom to the veggie ramen, but some peices were just uncooked. Overall enjoyed ourramen and will be back for more Read more

TL:DR - Spicewood is the only location serving in person ramen. Ambience is cozy and low key. Food as tasted amazing, was fresh... and staff was attentive to our needs. This dinner turned around my whole day and evening. Dinner: Jungle with diced chicken.Meat Lovers with pork Belly x2. 12 gyoza and mochi. I had a horrible day. You know the kind of day where work sucks and youbring it home with you (unintentionally) My husband and I decided to go out instead of cooking and cleaning. Our originalrestaurant was slammed. Instead we decided to visit an old favorite Michi. We went to the north Lamar location without realizingthey are not serving food in person there. After some quick cursing and contemplation of fast food we decided to go toSpicewood Michi location because I was dressed nice and wanted something better then a hamburger. After arriving the person atthe front greeted us warmly and told us the procedure. Place an order with her in the front and take you number and grab aseat. At first glance the seating area can seem a bit underwhelming. But as soon as we were seated the magic of the ramenmarket took over and felt very cozy and inviting. There are string lights that give the right vibe and it was very clean andneat. After our food arrived we quickly started to eat and all the memories of all our other Michi dinners came back. We talkedand reminisced about all the time we had gone out and enjoyed together. The food tasted even better then I remembered. Thediced chicken was tender and flavorful. The noddles had the perfect bite that made you just eat them faster then the soup. Thebroth was rich without being greasy. The gyoza was fantastic. Flavorful filling that had a crunchy bottom and steamedtop. Overall if you want a date night at a neat location where you can talk to the people who make you food and are down toearth this is the place to eat. To anyone who loves the Lamar location and are apprehensive to going to there new one give it Read more

One of the best ramen restaurants in Austin! The miso was very flavorful with the noodles at just the right amount of bite, the... chashu don dish was moist saucy and very delicious, the rice would soak up the left over sauce just complimenting the dish, theajitama was runny and very delicious, was afraid to experience the typical over cooked egg that other places just serve butgotta say took a risk and was not disappointed! The spicy oil is my fav! The oil is garlicky and nutty with just a good amountof spice that makes you want more! 10/10 Also, I loved the dine in experience & going to check out their Asian market after wewere done eating! Broth and noodles are legit, albeit the latter was clumpy due to delivery time and separation from broth. Worst braised pork... belly ever. Burned one side and didn?t cook the other. Pork burnt ends tasted like they forgot them in their teriyaki marinadebath for a week. There was no yummy fatty bits just the acidic break down of the pork. Read more

Michi Ramen has been on my must-try ramen list for a while and I finally ordered from the Spicewood Springs location. They only... have take-out and delivery now but are working to open the restaurant. Currently, they are in the Asia Market. Great flavors inthe ramen. I got the classic Michi with diced beef. I?d get this one again. Looking forward to it opening for dine-in. Read more

This is a great ramen place in Austin. We went there and my wife was craving to go back two days later. We ordered the Michi... ramen and the Sapporo ramen as those were highly eecommended. Both are very tasty and you can select options for add-ins ortoppings. The store itself is not open for dine-in yet, but you can order for pickup. Keep in mind it looks kind of strange whenyou walk in because it's not set up yet. All and looks like you're in a waiting room or something. They're building out agrocery store and a restaurant. The downside to ordering takeout is the broth is not hot when you get home, so make sure youheat it up if you want a tasty bowl of hot ramen. Great place and we'll be back. Read more
