This place is okay, food was alright, not very authentic. The area is nice with plenty of space. I went with my son who is... autistic, I asked them if they could lower the music because my son was having a panic-attack( we were sitting in the outdoorpatio, place was empty). We asked politely if they could lower the music, as per the waiter the owner stayed he was not goingto lower the music. They promote kid-friendly however they discriminated against my autistic son. Last time I will ever stepfoot in this establishment. Read more

9-16-22 about 10pm: Service and food were all great! Shared beef queso, beef/bean nachos and fantastico enchilada plate.... Everything we had was great. Read more

The place is on a big property and there is a really nice outdoor area with kids playground and a lot of space. The drinks were... really good. I didn?t find there was a variety of food. The salsa from the chips and salsa they serve tasted weird. The food wehad was good and it came pretty fast. The server though would come to our table literally every 3-5 minutes and I had to ask herif it was okay for me to sit there and have conversation with my husband while we tried to enjoy our meal. She then stoppedcoming to our table completely and we had to chase her down for more drinks, dessert and the check. That ruined my wholeexperience. Read more

I?m a super patient person. Very easy going. But our server was terrible. 20 minutes for our table to get menus. And it was... downhill from there. Told the manager twice during the meal? he could not have cared less. He never visited the table to smooththings over. Punchline: we were a party of eight so our waiter told us he added 20% automatically to the bill and informed usthat we are free to leave more if we would like to.LOL! Food was pretty good. Lovely environment on the patio. Good Mexicanmartinis. Just can?t recommend considering the staff. Ugh. Post pandemic hangover at restaurants these days. Read more

Mesa Rosa Mexican Restaurant has a great space with the vast outdoor patio and new playground to keep the kids busy while the... parents drink from their goblets. The food was good (flaquitos) and they have a great drink menu (got the peach frozenmargarita). There was some miscommunication between the host and servers because the servers were swamped so if you are not in ahurry, this is the place to go. Read more

Chips and queso are mediocre. The biggest problem was the poor service. The night we went it was 20 minute wait for drinks and... 30 minute wait for food. By the end of the night the server either gave up or was under staffed. Overall lack of professionalismand customer service. The environment with the playground is what you should come for. The frozen margaritas are very good and so is the patio and playground but unfortunately the food falls short. They need to... upgrade their quality of food, badly. The beef in the chimichanga is bland and needs to be more carne picada style. I know we?llgo back because of the patio but I really wish the owners would reassess their menu. The young lady who waited on us was verypersonable and attentive. Read more

I was actually looking for a restaurant with a patio where my toddler can run around outside. I'm really surprised how difficult... it's been to find one in Austin and the greater area. A Google search mentioned Mesa Rosa which led us here. Mesa Rosa does havea playground outside, however its suited more for kids 5 and older. Nevertheless, with the playground and green space around it,I was happy he could run around a gated safe environment while we eat. It was lunch time on a weekend and pretty busy but wewere helped right away and sat at the patio. Our server brought us a high chair, gave salsa and chips, and brought us waters perour request. She took down our order correctly, the food came pretty fast, and she followed up on us on a regular basis. So wereceived excellent service. The salsa was spicy and on the chunkier side. Wifey likes that, I like it a bit more runny. Thechar-beef quesadilla came with guac, sour cream, and pico de gallo all of which we asked for on the side. It was actually prettytasty, though a bit oily. We also got the combination enchilada which came with rice and beans and a hard beef taco. Definitelyhad ones that that yummier sauces, better quality rice and beans but it was passable. Lots of people around got adult drinkswhich looked good. I can't speak for it though. Prices seemed on par with other texmex places though you can probably findother places with tastier foods. But for what it is - ample parking, good service, huge childrens play area, adult drinks, andwith passable food, I left pretty happy. Read more
