On 11/1/2022 6:52:58 PM I went to the Dairy Queen Grill and chill on 8300 N. Burnet Rd., Austin, TX 78757. (DQ is one of my go... places) I ordered one hunger Buster with cheese no onions, regular fry ($8.96). Continue around to the window to pay. I saw thefood preparer not using proper utensil to eliminate bare hand contact with food. The food preparer making my burger pick themeat out the warmer drawer with his bare fingers (no gloves)and place it on the bun also he did the same with the cheese. Thepreparer wrapped up the burger and proceeded to place the burger in the brown paper bag. I asked the window attendant what wasthe protocol for the food preparers in order to prepare food he did not answer. I asked to speak to the shift lead and told herthe situation, she then went to the back and spoke with food preparers. On her back to speak with the food preparers I sawanother preparer with their bare hands on the food prep table. I was told to park in #1 area why burger was being remade. Whenthe shift lead came out with redone order she told me that she had found out who was responsible and a write up would be done.She also said she would notify her boss. Let me say again I saw at least two of the people in the food prep table area with (nogloves). The shift lead was very kind and polite. I was told she watch while my order was remade. (Thanks) By this time myappetite had changed because of what I had observed. The shift leads should continuously monitor their food prep area, and anyareas food is handle. Read more

Dairy Queen has always had my heart but this particular location makes every experience amazing. Let?s face it, our family... mainly goes to DQ for the treats but it?s nice to know that the service is always perfect, whether it?s an ice cream cone stop,a quick dinner date, or picking up a cake order. All the staff are super nice and you can tell they love their job. Thequalities that make this Dairy Queen the best around town are truly rare for fast food these days. Make sure you read the lower rating reviews because generally they can tell you the most truthful comments of the chain. I... attached a photo of my receipt and also photos of the blizzard I ordered. 1) I ordered a chocolate brownie extreme and aSnickers with extra brownie pieces. I was given 2 large Snickers. How disappointing. 2) The Snickers I ordered with extrabrownies actually had no brownies. Pretty unfortunate to have been charged for the extra brownies only to have none added. 3) Iwaited about 20 minutes because apparently one of the incompetent workers gave my blizzard accidentally to another order. Iwould usually forgive this but this I couldn't because it wasnt even that busy inside. Even worse, I went inside again toaddress the wrong orders given only to wait several more minutes because I was confused on which blizzards were given to me andthey did not even honor the flip. I've never experienced this kind of service from a fast food chain before when eating atBurger King, McDonald's, cfa, or Wendy's. It's how unfortunate I had to actually see firsthand what bad reviews for fast foodcan be. Definitely not coming to this chain again. Read more
