This is not a food hall?it?s a food corner. It?s a good spot if you?re on your lunch break or get hungry while grocery shopping.... Nice that there?s a bar & free wifi but food options are just ok. Read more

Really cool spot to grab a but and beer and relax on the patio or in the bar area. Some of the food is a tad pricey, but if you... go on Tuesday, the bar has $2 pints and that more than makes up for a slight price bump. Read more

One of the best places I've eaten at. When I'm in Austin I stop by and grab a bit of the different cuisines. Staff are pretty... helpful and kind. If you have a family that can't decide what to eat, there's probably something for everyone there. Read more

I have fallen in love with the Roots Chicken Shak chicken tenders and fries! I have never tried a better chicken tender than... theirs, I highly recommend them, the very light breading and taste they have is very good. Read more

I was looking to the duck fat fries but tbh they don?t really taste any different from ?regular fries?. They don?t have like a... more ?complex? flavor, if you didn?t know they were ?duck fat? you wouldn?tve believed it anyway. The chicken tenders arealright. I think it?s got great potential though!! I think it?s a good move by HEB, the mini foot court. Read more

Probably closer to 3 1/2, but I'm feeling semi-generous. Think mall or airport food court, but with better quality and... execution. The hard part for our first visit was deciding which restaurant to try. I ended up trying their Japanese restaurantand my dining companion tried the grilled cheese restaurant. First and foremost, this is not a user friendly experience. Everyone of the restaurants is a self serve counter where you use a keypad to order. The format of the keypad/menu isn't easy tofollow. More than one diner (besides me and my companion) needed to figure out how to order a drink. (FYI, you order the drinkfrom the keypad, then you get your cup when they call you up for your food.) Additionally, customizing an order can be a bit ofa challenge. A lot of the online ordering platforms have customization options, but Main Streat has a space to enter yourrequests with the on-screen keyboard. Fortunately, the kitchen staff does a great job of reading and accommodating specialrequests. I had the pork potstickers, which are some of the best in town. They're crispy, but not deep fried and the sauce hasa good flavor. I also liked my noodles with the beef skewers. The beef was high quality, but it would've benefitted from beingflipped on the grill as one side had grill marks and the other side was just grey meat. My dining companion had one of thegrilled cheese sandwiches, which she described as good. Once you figure out that you need to order the drinks at the same timeyou place your food order, you'll find the drinks in the limited seating area by the bar. HEB has its own version of theCoca-Cola Freestyle machine which offers products from Coke, Pepsi, and Maine Root. They also have sweet and unsweet tea aswell as lemonade and strawberry lemonade. The food is high quality and there are a lot of options available (surprisingly noburger or Italian options, though). The awkwardness of ordering and very limited dine-in seating means that Ma Read more

I don?t know what they put in the sweet tea at Roots Chicken Shak but it?s AMAZING! I discovered this place one day after... working at the hospital for my nursing clinicals. I make it a point to come here after every clinical. The chicken is reallygood and always fresh. I just had the Japanese place too and the fried rice is delicious! I highly recommend both places!
