Reviews for la Madeleine in Austin, TX
I am blown away at the quality and choices of food and beverages. I had the quiche, soup salad combo and it did not disappoint.... Melinda, the general manager, was behind the counter and I asked about the sea salt baguettes. I mentioned that I was new to thearea. She gifted me this 7 grain bread. What a great friendly place to eat. Laughter and happiness echoed through therestaurant. So refreshing after the last couple years of isolation! Read more

Friendly staff at the pastry counter Monday night around 7. No wait, just walked in and picked out some goodies for dessert. I... do recommend them (in moderation). ???? I will be back, I was looking for the Valentine's heart shaped cheesecake. Read more

This location had the typical La Madeline welcoming ambiance. However, it seemed quite understaffed during my visit in September... as orders made at the counter had to be picked up from there rather than having them sent over to the table. That aside, Ienjoyed the warm delicious croissants and vanilla latte. Read more
First time here and it was worth the stop. The cinnamon roll was delicious, avocado toast was tasty and creamy. The country... French breakfast with the potato galette was great. Read more
My girlfriend and I came here yesterday, we ordered a soup, a sandwich, an iced latte, a pre-packaged cookie and a croissant.... The tomato basil soup was quite literally the worst tomato soup I have ever tasted. It tasted old and microwaved, and was sourbeyond belief. How do you make a tomato basil soup so sour? We had ordered a baguette on the side, they forgot it. My girlfriendand I both agreed their croissant was noticeably lower quality than the one we bought at Starbuck's earlier in the week.(Pitiful...) The sandwich I bought was a Large, it was called "Chicken Riviera". It was okay, but the bread was very hard almostto the point it hurt my mouth. It was also put together veryy sloppily, (avocado drenching the top-side of the sandwich bread)and they didn't even cut the large sandwich in half! What kind of bistro doesn't cut your large sandwich in half for you? It wasput together so sloppily, I had to cut it in half myself before I could even attempt to eat it! The pre-packaged cookie wasnice, but they don't make those in store. My iced latte was delicious, I will say. However, virtually everything else about thevisit was extremely disappointing. We decided to give La Madeleine another try because I was tired of how often I find myself atStarbuck's for similar products. After this last time, I will never make that mistake again and I urge you to save your money aswell, and probably more importantly; your time. The first time my girlfriend and I ate here a couple of months ago, we orderedtwo coffees and two pastries and it took 45 minutes for them to arrive at our table. Their laughable service is a running jokearound Cedar Park honestly, a lot of people have heard about how miserably slow and unattentive they are. Of course we shouldshow some sympathy for these restaurants who lost a lot of staff during Covid, but at the same time if a business simply doesnot possess the means to deliver to their customers the quality that they advertise, they should Read more
