We hadn't been there in a while, and boy were we pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent, and, of course the margarita was... a nice touch. We don't live in that neighborhood, but it's not a big drive; so now that our memories are refreshed we will makethis a regular stop. Read more

The atmosphere is chill and laid back. The photos around the place are really nice. They have a small coffee bar that you serve... yourself. They only offer milk and creamer. I ordered the migas plain with flour tortillas. The migas come with tomatoes onionsand cilantro. The tortillas in the migas were nice and crispy but cut way too small. The egg to tortilla ratio is way off. Toomuch egg for my liking. That being said the flavor is ok. The portions are quite large. The salsa is not good. It?s just tomatosauce it?s not spicy at all. I found a carrot in there, I thought that was weird. The fruit that it came with was delicious.Nice and ripe. The coffee was also good. It was super fresh. Read more

Service was friendly but slow. Came in around dinner time so that's more than understandable. The food wasn't anything... remarkable but it wasn't bad either. I don't plan on coming back especially since what I paid in total definitely didn't matchthe quality of food that I received. The rice was a little bland and most definitely could've used more seasoning. The fajitataco was the same as the rice but the portion of it was bigger than your normal taco. The beans were good along with theenchilada. I did also order an a la carte chicken quedsdilla and that was good. Again not bad but not great. My 3 star ratingcomes primarily from the friendly service and the really good strawberry margarita I had. If I were to rate the food on its ownI'd say a star and a half. Read more

Good tex next with long standing tradition in this neighborhood spot. Chalupas are tasty, beans have pretty good flavour,... rotisserie chicken is excellent. Ice is not available for the self refill station so that's awkward in the summer, and no Chipsand salsa while waiting. Read more

Came here once with friends for some margs seemed like a good spot so had a second visit and ordered some chicken enchiladas... and my boyfriend had the fajita tacos. My chicken tasted like the chicken on 4th day of meal prep, so nasty almost fishytasting. Fajita meat was incredibly chewy. We ended up sending both our plates back. We?ve never gone somewhere and both of ourplates be so bad. Unfriendly service doesn?t help either Read more

Not terrible, good portion sizes, but everything seemed to be heavily under flavored. No servers, not a great drink selection. I... wouldn't go back. Read more

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Austin and favorite Tex-Mex of all time! Great tasting, home cooked, fresh, healthy... food! Friendl &, fast service. The best is when Stella herself is there to take your order. Sitting inside or out, your sure tostrike up a conversation with a local Hyde Park resident. The atmosphere is relaxed and neighborly. Stella made it through thepandemic, without shutting the doors, likely because of the relationships she's built with her customers; Julios is a trueneighborhood gem. I love the enchiladas or chicken soup but for breakfast it's always an egg and avacado taco! HURRY TO JULUOS!! Read more
