Had an excellent brunch! The scone and cornbread and deviled eggs were a great way to start, and the beef hash was delicious.... The chicken friend steak and waffles was HUGE and very tasty, too. Service was great and the outdoor patio was comfortabledespite the blazing heat. Read more

Jacoby’s is delicious. I had the chicken migas which was so tasty. The chicken was deliciously smoked. The French toast was... awesome and made of something similar to pound cake. And the tater tots are almost like mini mozzarella sticks, yum! The gritswere tasty too! You really can’t go wrong here. Check out the shop out front too - all of the milk glass kitchenware isadorable. Read more

We have dined here on multiple occasions, and every time we have had to send our first steak order back due to being overcooked.... Once the temperature of the meat is corrected, the food is generally good, but nothing spectacular and somewhatdisappointing. The staff is very understanding and accommodating if you are dissatisfied with the preparation of your meal, which is a plus. They do tend to disappear to the interior of the restaurant if you’re dining outside, so order drinks inadvance if you see them. The hamburger is always excellent, so moving forward this is what I’ll stick with when dininghere. The outdoor seating is comfortable and atmosphere overall is excellent. Read more

This place was among the top of my "wanted to go" list but the experience and food moved this place to "may want to go sometime... but there are better options" list. We tried deviled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and the crab cake benedict. Deviled eggs wereokay and they weren't as flavorful as I would expect from such a nice place, and same was the case with the crab cake benedict. The food wasn't bad, it was still good, but I expected much more if I am paying $20+ for a dish at any restaurant. What savedthe meal for me was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was crunchy and the gravy was flavorful and creamy. The drinks andbiscuits and gravy is what I enjoyed here which makes me think there are better things on the menu which I should try, but Idon't want to experiment at this place as it is so expensive. Jacoby’s Restaurant & Mercantile is a great restaurant in East Austin. Parking is a little bit of a challenge but it is worth... it. And make reservations because it is pretty full. Make sure to check their hours too; I believe they are closed Monday andTuesday. When you make reservations, in the comment section, request to eat outside. You’ll thank me! Now on to the goodstuff- the food! Jacoby’s meat comes from their own ranch near Lubbock so you know you’re getting great quality, grass-fedcattle. I went with the steak frites, which I kind of had to eat. So good! The fries were crispy and the steak was cooked toperfection. There is an aioli dipping sauce that was good as well. My friend got the chicken fried steak which was the besthe’s had. You need to try the bone marrow appetizer and save room for dessert! I’m a huge fan of Jacoby’s and their sisterrestaurant Swift Pizza. Make those reservations! Read more

I love coming to Jacoby’s! So I was stoked to be able to have them host our company event and share my love for this... restaurant with my coworkers. The whole staff is amazing! The event process was so easy and they were so helpful with dietaryrestrictions and accommodations. The food was delicious as always. 10/10 recommended for dining whether a large group or justa night out. Read more

This place had a very nice ambience. Very Covid cautious. We sat in the patio and it got very loud with a few larger parties... around us. The bone marrow baguette was out of this world! It was an improved version of a salty garlic bread. Mac n Cheese wasalso extremely tasty. I wasn’t impressed with the French fries and the strawberry cake (looked cute for a picture) butwasn’t really anything special. The Valet attendee was extremely nice and respectful. Read more

This review is strictly in regards to their brunch experience because, come to think of it, I've never been there for dinner.... I'll have to remedy that soon. Jacoby's is SO GOOD. But at it's price point it's more of a let's enjoy this once-a-month kind ofgood. Also, it's BUSY. Like, real busy. Like, make a reservation kind of busy. But all that being said, the food and theatmosphere is incredible. Beautiful patio. Pro tip: if you want to maximize the value, treat this place almost like a tapasstyle restaurant because the portions here are GENEROUS. Easily enough to share. Highlights include the deviled eggs with baconand pickled vegetables and the biscuits and gravy but the REAL sleeper item here is the strawberry cake. Holy moly it might bethe best cake I've ever had. Also random highlight that I've never noticed anywhere else -- the silverware, plates and cups areall amazing. Like you're camping in a fancy cabin.
