Menus was a little overwhelming (not the price but the way you have to choose food) but we managed! Food was out of this world... and the servers was on point! Never let our glasses go below half empty! Beautiful location and the dining room was gorgeous!Loved the explanation of everything! We will be back again! Friend and I shared 3 small bites, an entree, and dessert. We probably could’ve done one more small bite to be satisfied.... I’m not a frequent fancy diner, so I appreciated the staff reviewing each plate’s contents and the best way to consume it.Everything was delicious and their drinks were excellent as well. We stopped by on a whim but now I would love to go back forthe full tasting menu. There was music in the front bar but our indoor dining wasn’t too loud to have conversation. Read more
Just, wow. I recommend this place with every fiber of my being. I expected good, but this was great! The service was... impeccable. The staff was extremely educated and helpful, while staying quietly attentive and patient. The food though, oh my!Creative, interesting, original and the tastes were out of this world. The snacks were packed with flavor and intriguing. Thescallops in beef tallow were just too good, so we ordered a second round! This has been my favorite dining experience in Austinto date. I've been to so many places, high end, low end, low key, pop up, and everything in between. This one had it all.Ambiance, class, tasty libations, great music, wood fire smell, and a very interesting design. Drinks were on point, the foodblew me away, and the service was exemplary. Really stunning cuisine in a cool, unfussy space downtown. We did the omakase, and everything was incredible. The staff was... fun, engaging and unpretentious. We were a little late getting seated for our reservation, but they went out of their way tomake us feel welcome and comfortable. Wow! Hestia ranks in the Top 10 meals I’ve had in recent memory. We opted for the chef’s tasting menu. Even though we had 1... gluten free and 1 vegetarian, they accommodated us amazingly without skimping on quality of ingredients or taste. Service wasimpeccable from all staff members. Hestia is upscale without being pretentious. Every course (out of 11 total) was amazing inits own right. We spent $215 per person including tax and tip. Worth the money for special occasions. RJ, who served us throughout our... dinner, was not only extremely knowledgeable of the menu; but he also has a passion for the food and desire for guest to havethe most incredible dining experience. Please request him when dining at Hestia! Everything we ate was above and beyond any dishI’ve had in Austin. The scallops were my favorite, but I was pleasantly surprised by the mild, but uniquely flavorful squashand nopal. You will not find a better restaurant in Austin. Read more
Hestia is definitely a place meant for foodies. I can see why some people come here and have a truly 5 star experience. These... dishes are unlike anything you’ve tried elsewhere in austin and are experimental in a way that will offer entertainment forthe whole night. The service is also great and the staff really knows their food. All of those positives aside, I think thatthe focus on experimenting overshadows the satisfaction factor of food here. The dishes are obviously elevated with greatingredients, but the flavors are often too bizarre to really enjoy rather than just experience. Read more
James was our server and was an absolute delight- everything was amazing. We did the 14 course tasting menu with wine pairing. ... We expected each course to be a small bite for that many courses- but most were so big! We will definitely be coming back everytime we visit Austin. Read more
