We came for dinner and were surprised to see no one dining in! The restaurant owner was super nice and friendly. She seated us... and made some great recommendations. We ended up sharing one Queso Flameado w/ veggies for appetizer and one flan for dessert. Igot the La Margarita salad w/ beef for entree, while my partner got the vegetarian enchiladas. Their queso is the best & mostauthentic I've ever had! Super dense and thick, very rich, packed with flavors and vegetables (tomatoes, mushrooms etc)! Itpaired perfectly with either the provided flour tortilla or the complementary chips. La Margarita salad w/ beef - it's calledsalad, but it was gigantic and loaded with a good variety of very filling ingredients - chorizo, beans, corns, cheese, and rice.Given its portion, I could not believe how cheap it is ($9 w/o meat). It's a great entree either on its own or with meat added. The dressing was amazing too. Corn Flan - simply amazing! Perfect level of sweetness and richness. You can taste the corn kernelin the flan - feels holistic. The restaurant owner told us about the other location of Hecho En Mexico. She said the menus arefairly different for the two locations, because they try their best to accommodate the demographic nearby. I found that verythoughtful. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained. The interior decor was simple yet modern. I can see it being agreat place for both a quick lunch and a relaxing dinner with families and friends. Would love to check out the other locationnext time! Read more

I can't believe more people aren't at this place. The service was fantastic, and the food was amazing. I am the only table here,... but I will come back each time I'm in town. The 3 enchiladas with 3 different moles was a great and tasty experience. I'venever seen or tried a white moles before. Read more

We were going crazy trying to find a Mexican restaurant around the area and I am so happy that we found this place because OMG... the food is amazing! The place is average sizeabd it has plenty of seating inside and on a deck as well. The waiter was veryattentive and explained some of the menu items. The food came out quick and everything was fresh, everything had so much flavorand my favorite was the pozole Verde, OMG to die for!!! So sad I don't live here but I will definitely be back! Stopped in for dinner. Got Enchiladas Suizas with shrimp and my friend got Gringas con Queso. We also got the El Rey Noe Martini... and a Corona Michelada. Everything was great and we even got to see the UT v. W. Virginia game on a monitor at the bar. Greatplace to visit! Read more

I absolutely loved this place! The food was sooo tasty! The corn tortillas were amazing and the lady serving us, I don’t know... if she’s the owner, was the sweetest lady ever. Definitely recommend coming here. Read more

This is a nice little place that deserves more lunch traffic. Judging by the location and the small and limited parking spaces,... I get the idea that this eatery's real design was to serve the row of townhouses it sits in front of. But don't let that stopyou from giving it a try. I was one of the few customers enjoying lunch here, and two of the others appeared to be small groupshaving lunch meetings. Small and very well kept with subtle Spanish music quietly playing in the background. I was a littledisappointed when I heard the waitress open a soda can when I ordered my drink, but that's about the only negative thing I wouldhave to say about Henco En Mexico. The wait staff is friendly and quick to offer refills on the chips and salsa. The food isfresh, hot and very tasty. This will be my go to place whenever I'm in the area and looking for a quiet, out of the way lunchspot. Read more

We were here in Christmas Eve because there wasn’t any other restaurant open. We were lucky to find this great place. As... Mexicans, we were skeptical because we thought it would be a Tex-Mex restaurant. However, this is what a typical Mexicanrestaurant looks like in Mexico. This restaurant doesn’t try to “look” Mexican with all the crazy decorations. We enjoyedthe food and the service. 1) The beef fajitas were amazing. 5/5 2) I would order chicken instead of ground beef for thefajitas. I thought they were a bit greasy and have me heartburn afterwards. 4/5 3)The guacamole didn’t have jalapeños, limeand it needed a bit of salt. 4/5 4) The rice and beans weren’t hot. They were OK, but by the time we were halfway done, therice and beans were cold. I think they could have been hotter. 3/5 Other than that the food was great. I would definitely comeback. Read more
