Absolutely delicious. Ordered online for a lil hat combo, adjusted it to be similar to the classic burger, and a kids mint... shake. The burger was amazing, the fries are seasoned nicely, the hat sauce was good, and the mint shake was perfect. Read more
The food is okay, not my favorite burgers or fries but reasonably good. The hamburger had a little too much sauce on it, making... the bun a little soggy. And the french fries were not very crisp. But with both the burger and fries the flavor was good. Read more
Second time coming to this Hat Creek location in the last week ? breakfast earlier this week, lunch today, kids in tow both... times. Per usual, limited indoor seating and primarily outdoor seating. Parking area is somewhat limited, tight in places, on ahill, and requires you to walk across the drive thru area to get to the front door. Food is similar quality to other HatCreeks, with the burgers actually a little more substantial than other locations we?ve been to. Play area is fairly well closedoff and viewable from the outdoor seating area located above it. While there is a small artificial grass area, the playground isotherwise covered in wood chips, which I personally am not a fan of, having three kids under 7 ? high potential for splinters.All in all, decent spot for food and a place to let the kids play. First, they have a wider selection of burgers to choose... from such as: - Big Hat Burger (Double Meat): their take on the classic double cheeseburger and they load it nicely. Fillingportion at a great price. ($8) - 4.25/5 - Sombrero: a spicy double cheeseburger made up of pepper jack, jalapeños, grilledonions, and Yellowbird hot sauce ($8) - 4/5 Next, they have a few great items beyond just fries and sodas such as: - FriedPickles: I like how they do fried pickle slices over spears since you get a good ratio of pickle to breading! ($5) - 4.25/5 -Tater Tots: always fun to see tots on the menu and I usually go for these over fries when I can ($3) - 4.25/5 - Grasshopper: amint syrup, Oreo shake which was phenomenal. Definitely a top shake I?ve had in town! ($4.50) - 5/5 Also what?s nice here isthat they have 3 made-in-house sauces you can choose from. Happy Sauce is mustard-based and pairs well with the savory,meatiness of the Big Hat. Hat Sauce has more of a kick, so pair that with Sombrero to enhance it. Lastly, the Fry Sauce which iscreamier goes great with the tater tots! All in all, they have some great qualities and some amazing ones. I was highlysatisfied with my visit and would be back! Wow!!!! From the AMAZING gentleman that took our order, to the local beer on tap, to the hillcountry ambiance on the beautifully... kept wraparound patio?. The hamburgers were OFF THE CHAIN, and legitimately had so little grease, I had to slip them in front ofmy personal FAV, Whataburger?. Conjoined with killer sweet potato fries?. Great establishment tucked away right off Bees Cave Rd and the 360. They provide both indoor and outdoor dining as well as a... good sized playground for children. Burgers are a decent size and moderately priced. The attendant was very friendly anddefinitely a local Texan which is always a plus. I had the Little Hat burger with added cheddar. The burger might have tasted abit better in my opinion had it been warmer but we went with a group of people and waited until everyone had their food. I'dreturn perhaps not to this location because of the distance from my home but the experience was great. Read more
A wonderful surprise tucked away in a tiny corner of an intersection. Fresh, juicy burger with a great compliment of sauces for... your burger or fries. The tater tots were "perfect!". The potato in them was delightfully light and just crispy on the outside,but pillowy soft on the inside. The atmosphere wasn't anything special, but it was very clean, so above average for a burgerjoint. Read more
