I loved everything. Even the water tasted good.???? The batter for the fried zucchini was seasoned and not heavy. The sweet... potato fries were the perfect texture. The salmon and the shrimp exceeded flavor expectations. Then we had cake for dessert. That cake was the picture and taste of perfection. I am definitely recommending Hanks to everyone and I will be back! Read more

The food was top-notch. I purchased the Brined Fried Chicken with Hot Honey Sauce and was blown away. The outside was crispy,... and the inside was perfect and not dry at all. The only downside was that the water cups seemed like they hadn't been cleanedvery thoroughly since I found some hairs and other things on the outside. Read more

I love finding new gems! Came for a work happy hour and never knew this place existed. We were a party of 6 and sat very... comfortably in a spacious booth. Parking lot was full of cars and the place was happening. Drinks, service and food were great.Artichoke dip was dank and i had the turkey sam - delicious. Def coming back and def recommend. Amazing farm to table restaurant on the East side with a drive through coffee bar. We had the brined chicken (wow!), the crispy... rice bowl (so crispy and flavorful), spinach artichoke dip (pretty typical), veggie burger (so so), parmesan fries (would havebeen better with an aioli dipping sauce instead of ketchup) and the Chantilly cake (delicious). Love the ambience and decor. Will definitely be back to try more menu items! Read more

A must try when in Austin! The staff here was very friendly. Should make reservations. Portions are good for one person per... dish! The shushuka was DELICIOUS. A very popular item on the menu which is very filling! The black bean burger - would ask forspicy chipotle aioli on the side. Burger comes with fries which were so delicious! Read more

TLDR: Very social media oriented, but good food nonetheless Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. We got reservations well... ahead of time, so I can't really testify as to the wait times and such. Service was polite and prompt. for appetizers, we gotthe Gulf Shrimp & grits. It's an.... interesting... take on the deep south classic. The grits are actually small cakes that havebeen fried. each with a large shrimp placed on top, and the whole dish drowned in a sauce. It presents very well, and despite myterrible camera skills, looks very appealing, but it appears they sacrificed taste for presentation. The grits didn't take wellto deep frying, and the sauce was both too much and not enough. A traditional and simple shrimp and grits would have been muchbetter. For the mains, we had the Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich and the pesto rice bowl. both of these were very good, and morethan made up for the lackluster appetizer. It looks like Hank's has focused a lot on the presentation of their food andestablishment, and if you appreciate that, this is an amazing place. 4/5 Read more

Awesome food and ambiance - The Gulf Shrimp and Grits were delicious, I will have that as my main course next time. The fried... chicken was good. They were out of the scallops, so I got the Black Kale Caesar salad and added chicken; unfortunately thechicken was so dry and hard that my knife wouldn’t cut through it. The salad was ok and definitely big enough for a maincourse. The Chantilly Cake was beautiful, delicious, and rich. Read more

Came here for a friends birthday. Fantastic, refreshing drinks. Appetizers and chicken sandwich were quite solid and my wife’s... pasta dish had a great flavor. Very romantic/airy decor/setting. Felt like I was back in Soho or Chelsea in Manhattan. Read more
