I always want to like this place, and I?ve always been blinded by the attractive atmosphere to really care about the cons of... this place until recently. Pros: - comfortable indoor and outdoor seating - drinks are pretty decent Cons: - ordering alwaystakes forever?ALWAYS. - I?ve never had a friendly person take my order. All the servers seem miserable, which doesn?t seemtypical of any other Austin coffee shop. - they serve food, but only the drink menu is posted on the wall. The food menu islisted on a piece of paper that you can?t see until you get to the register - the high chairs are stacked outside by the backdoor so they get dirty, and if you want to use one, be careful not to get locked out of the back door. Could easily be fixed bybringing some high chairs inside - Recently, I went in at a slow time (no one in front of me, and only one person came after mein the hour I was there) and ordered two breakfast tacos but never got to eat them. I planned on spending 45 minutes there withmy baby, but came to find out they never sent my order to the kitchen. I waited 45 minutes and told someone at the counter whodid seemed very apologetic, but never actually told me what was going on with my food. After another 12 minutes I went back upto the counter and they let me know the food would be out in 10 minutes, but I told them I had to go and wouldn?t be able towait. They told me they were going to refund me and they never did. I think it?s best to plan for a longer stay if you?re goingto visit here. Read more
Great spot for hanging out with friends, or taking your loved ones on a date. Definitely one of the best cafes in the Muller... area; great vibes, beautiful interior, and lots of indoor & outdoor seating. Staff is kind, but frankly, baristas are not reallyexperienced, hence 4 stars. Read more
this location is really nice! right next to the park, lots of huge windows and natural lighting. i love going during the day... cause the whole place is so bright and not that noisy; it might be really hot outside but its really cool and chill inside.baristas were also really nice and friendly. coffee was okay but a little overpriced in my opinion. they got outlets almost onall the tables though, making it very convenient for people to sit there and work on their stuff. if you get tired, you can alsogo to the park right across the street and chill/ take a walk. love it! Cashier is slow and machines for certain drinks were broken. Service was fair and the drinks were fantastic! Love the atmosphere... as well so definitely a solid place if you want coffee near Meuller. There?s also a few games for the kiddos. Read more
Stumbled on Halycon this past Sunday morning and enjoyed an iced latte with caramel flavoring & oatmilk. Not only did my... beverage taste exactly as I hoped but also explained why the line was out the door ???? This pet friendly, study/turn upenvironment is more than worth the wait so be sure to check out their events throughout the week as well! I look forward toreturning very very soon :) P.S. This little gem is fantastic in so many ways. Not only is the food fresh and delicious, but the drinks are also well crafted,... and the vibe is always on point. The service is exceptional with the kind staff and personable conversation. This is the perfectplace to come alone or in a group. I come here to study and work, but also to bring my little one before exploring the park andother attractions nearby. Love. Read more
Pleasant experience at Halcyon when we were in town and made last minute decisions for brunch! Everything was booked out, and we... were able to walk in here and get seated within 10 minutes. I had a breakfast biscuit sandwich, which was fine, but the winnerwas the dish my husband got, I think it was Eggs Benedict. He was FLOORED by how good it was, and he didn't stop talking aboutit for the rest of the weekend. Definitely order that if you want a good meal ???? my breakfast biscuit was different in that itfelt like the biscuit wasn't buttermilk, or maybe was but tasted more on the wheat bread side, as opposed to white bread, whichI really really liked!
