Reviews for Goodall's in Austin, TX
This is such a hidden gem in Austin! Beautiful interior decor and a small but curated menu. Great spot to enjoy a bit of a break... from the bustle of the city. You can choose to dine in their dining room or out on the beautiful veranda/patio. There's also alarge grassy front lawn that is a great spot for little ones to run off some energy post breakfast/brunch! Read more
Went for Sunday brunch. We had the burger and chicken sandwich. They were pretty good. The buns seemed house made. Chicken... sandwich could've use a bit more sauce but the sweet pickles added a nice touch. The hotel is cute, on a busy road. Read more
My husband and I enjoyed brunch here, and everything was superb. The beurre blanc on the crab benedict was on point. Definitely... worth spending a meal here! Read more
Attached to hotel. Appetizers were good. Drinks were also good, just super slow service. I think they are short staffed. Loved... the ambiance. Read more
First time, will definitely be back. Attached to a beautiful hotel, this tiny gem is worth the find. Creative dishes full of... flavor, small intimate dinning area, trendy and vintage vibe. Read more
This area of the city doesn't have much to offer, in my opinion. The character of Goodall's in a historic venue & the shrimp &... grits I saw on the menu (although it was not on the menu when we got there) is the reason I landed on Goodall's for our lunchchoice. It was a bit confusing, it isn't set like your typical restaurant dining room, be it in a hotel or otherwise. Theservice was excellent! The food was also great. A nice sized chicken breast in a sandwich without being dry; a brioche bun (whydon't more places adopt this as standard); and my mushroom omlette decided to be adventurous and went beyond simple white orportobello shrooms! I will say the bill was a bit high for a Tuesday brunch and no one, regardless of setting should charge $4for a cup of drip coffee. Read more
Amazing amazing food. The atmosphere is very nice and the waiters were great. We did a late brunch at 2 and kind of cut into the... tea time. We had the migas and the shakshuka and a lemon tart. Everything was very fresh and delicious. The portions look smallbut are packed with fresh filling ingredients and the valet is complimentary for ppl eating at the restaurant. My only gripe wasbathrooms are outside and are shared with the pool facility at the hotel but that's very minor. Beautiful restaurant andbeautiful food. Read more
I ordered the Austin Breakfast with a poached egg. It came with chicken sausage that was rubbery and bland. The breakfast... potatoes, however, were quite good and so was the poached egg. In addition my latte was somehow both burnt but cold. Overall, for the price, the breakfast was lacking in quality and portion. However, the dining room had a charming atmosphere and thearchitecture is very cool. Perhaps dinner would be more impressive. Read more
