I finally got to have dinner here for the first time and it was on mother's day my husband co- worker recommended this 3C and... it was everything he said it would be although I cheated and checked out the reviews...I walked in the building and it broughtback fish fry at my grandparents for all their kids and grandkids after fishing all week...the smell took me back starting atthe age of about 4 and the taste like it smell everything was seasoned well not salty my food was pippN ???? hot! And my platelook like the picture...the host and our waitress gave that sweet country hospitality feel it was so much food I shared somefish with my husband and took so food home for later...I had the trio???????? and the price was right????..for the amount offood???????? Old school South Austin classic. Down home and very comforting. Try everything, but get the catfish. It?s perfectly cooked,... fried fresh with a homemade cornmeal breading. I got the Fish and Shrimp combo with Mac and cheese, onion rings, beans, and hushpuppies. It hit the spot! Amazing value for the quality and quantity. Will recommend and will def be back. Read more
This is a great old school style eatery with a specialty in southern comfort food. Cherry Creek may have ?catfish? in its name... but they also have excellent chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak. They have barbeque ribs as well. The side dishes arealso excellent, the green beans stand out, in particular. Save some space for desserts as well, the chocolate and key lime piesare both good choices. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. You will jot be disappointed with your meal here. Read more

Truly the last great Austin original! Hot fresh catfish, jumbo shrimp, and crawfish! Seasoned fries, cajun beans, and coleslaw... always pair great with everything. Thank you for being a consistently great restaurant that I can visit when I am back in town. Read more
