Reviews for Bartlett's Restaurant in Austin, TX

My grandparents would've loved Bartlett's. Baby Boomers also will love Bartlett's. It'll remind them of the 90's when they were... in their thirty-somethings in the heart of their prime. Personally, I found it a bit stuffy and pretentious all thingsconsidered. The game has changed. Bartlett's, to their credit (or not?), is staying firmly in their lane. If you're feelingnostalgic and long for the days of Celine Dion or Garth Brooks, this is your jam. Grilled artichokes were the most unique dishwe sampled and seemed to indicate something special was in store. then the meal turned into a glorified trip to Perkins. PrimeRib was under seasoned and underwhelming. Spinach was overcooked and lifeless. Steak was sub par and the burger was just likethe rest...straight out of a 90's steakhouse. Srsly, is there no S&P in the kitchen? We were also disappointed in the service. If you're trying to give the impression that you're worth the asking price, the service should be top shelf. It wasn't... drinkglasses constantly low, server went on sabbatical, took FOREVER to get the check, etc. We didn't have any alcoholic drinks, somaybe that was grounds to ignore the table. I dunno. Frankly don't care. Tipped much less than usual and will not be back.Sayonara 1990's. I was a Stone Temple Pilots junkie anyway. ;) Read more

Food was good, service was good, cocktails weren’t that good, stick to wine or beer. Artichoke: it was good CHIMICHURRI STEAK... SANDWICH: it was very good, well seasoned and cooked to temp. Cheese burger: it was great, well seasoned and cookedperfectly. It was too much food, you don’t need the appetizers. Read more

Service was excellent. Food was tasty but way overpriced. Bacon cheeseburger was $20 and an iced tea was $3.50.

UPDATE! The Good: The food quality and flavor alone would give it 3 stars. Customer Service is King for 5 stars. Waiter stole... our credit card. (Not only the CC, but he was a mess, forgot everything we asked for and our order took forever.) We called therestaurant to confirm they had our card and they did. The manager said he would mail us the card. He did not. When we calledback to check on the status of our card; we were told that they would never mail a credit card to a customer. They sitedsecurity reasons. Needless to say this is a management issue. Bad service in a restaurant starts at the top. We have been goingto this restaurant since it was a Bennigan’s … the food is better now than it was as a Bennigan’s but the service for theprice we paid for lunch was awful. Too many good restaurants in Austin‘s to come back to this place. So sad to see a NorthSide establishment fall like this. UPDATE! Remember when we were told by there manager that they would never mail us our creditcard? Well someone did. Not only will they steal your credit they will hold it for a week; lie to you about it’s whereabouts;then mail it to you. Wow! Read more

The pork chops were just right, amazing texture and flavor. Perfect, flavorful mashed potatoes. The steak burger was a rare... find. A bit odd, but i think she liked it! The drinks were also crafted well. Maitai and an old fashioned. Read more

Fantastic service. 90’s vibes (in a very good way). The French dip was scrumptious. Husband ordered the fish sandwich and he... enjoyed it. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, which we absolutely did not need, but thoroughly enjoyed ;) Read more
