Melt in your mouth brisket. Pinto beans, spicy slaw, and homemade pickles were very good. Spicy, vinegar and sweet sauce.

I dig the esthetics of this setup. Little food truck spot tucked away in a small lot off 7th street. I tried the lamb, didn't... love it, but I also don't care for lamb, so as expected. The pulled pork was good and the sausage was good, although the sausagewas a little bland for my taste and could use a kick. Beans were solid. Slaw was okay. Service was good, but slow. We showed upright at opening, so maybe give them an hour to get warmed up. Read more

If I were to write a locals' guide to Austin and came to make a recommendation on authentic central Texas barbecue, B Cooper... would likely be my selection. The setting is characteristic of backyard barbecue: A trailer to serve from, some covered chairsand tables to eat at, and, most importantly, the pit which was actively producing wafts of post oak smoke! We ordered a samplerplate. The brisket was perfectly done and evident that it was recently smoked--not made days prior and put on ice. I asked forand was served particularly lean cuts which is personal preference. The bark and rendering were found to my delight and Iappreciated the thick cuts, but still had the tenderness and flexibility to pull apart with ease. The Turkey was tender with asavory seasoning. Spare Ribs were moist and the bark, fat, meat held together to eat at once versus falling apart after a firstbite. Beyond the meats, we loved that the coleslaw had a slight spice and vinegar tart, along with crispness of freshingredients (as opposed to the creamy/soaked slaw that is massed produced at scale). Three sauces were given to us: spicy, sweet, and vinegar. Our favorite was the sweet. Another delight was that the pickles were actually pickled cucumbers, harkeningback to summertime barbecue and a nice change-up from those coming from the vlasic jar. Blaine is the Pitmaster and I had thepleasure of speaking with him after my meal. He has a long background in barbecue and shared the history of the smoker that hemade himself from a fuel tank and wood stove from his family's ranch. The trailer dates back to the 1940s! If you are lookingfor small-batch barbecue with fresh, carefully chosen ingredients, look no further. Thank you Blaine, we will be back! 5/5,would recommend! Read more

Straight up Texas BBQ the way I love it. The lamb is amazingly flavorful and very succulent. The spareribs are tender with what... is now my favorite rub. The home made pickles and pickled onion are wonderful. I'm eating there whenever I'm over here in eastAustin. It is in a grass lot, that's behind a Leal's Tires, with the food truck, a tent over plank tables and folding chairsunder a couple trees, and an honest fire box smoker, it is a great place to test if your date really loves BBQ or if you shouldget it to go.
