i showed up at about 2:45pm, thinking I\'d get a dozen kolaches. the kind person working there informed me that due to health... code, kolaches can not be served after 2pm. likely due to when the chefs start cooking them and how long they are allowed tostay out for people to buy. i didn\'t know this, so hopefully, this makes sense to everyone and that this helps. I went in earlier today and the man cooked what was called a \"Bueno\" pizza. I\'ve worked in pizaas places before and I\'ll... tell you he couldn\'t have cooked it better. It hit the spot! Don\'t quote me on this, but I\'m pretty sure it was cooked in abrick oven or ast least that\'s how it tasted. Either way it was a really good pizza. Read more

This is just a plain, very thick piece of bread with a tiny amount of filling?not a traditional kolache which are a bit thinner... with a lot more delicious filling and yummy streusel. It just felt like I was eating bread, their bread is good but the ratio isnot and you need streusel!!\nI don?t think these other reviewers know what a kolache is supposed to look/taste like lol. For my first trip to Austin Kolache I went overboard and got a little bit of most of the baked goods and they did not last long... when I got home. So glad y\'all moved into the neighborhood and I have a new place to walk to for some breakfast goodies andmore. Read more

We order kolaches here all the time for ourselves personally and for our company. They are AWESOME. They also have pizza and... coffee, which is handy and they are on DoorDash if you need them in a pinch. Read more

The story is that Kolache Shoppe on Burnet closed because they?re developing the land, so now they?re here at 8127 Mesa. So... happy to have them! Kolaches are better than ever and the pizza store that?s hosting them looks great too. Read more

I tried this place out with higher expectations, based on the reviews, and the long-time family owned business reputation. I... received an expired drink, which I realized after I drank from it and thought it tasted weird. I got three kolaches, cherry, cheese and jalapeño cheddar sausage. I would say the fruit ones were mediocre, but the sausage one was bad. It was very toughtrying to chew through the sausage. I ended up throwing out two of three after a few bites. The inside is small and only onetable to sit at near the entrance. I was visiting in Austin and had high hopes. If you are looking for a good kolache place andyou?re in San Marcos, try Dos Gatos. They put these to shame. I guess that is where my expectations were going into this newplace. Read more

TLDR: Great morning breakfast stop\n\nThe layout/location is pretty typical for a donut/kolache shop. very limited seating,... glass case in the front, small cooler of drinks on the side, etc. It\'s not super comfortable, but places like this cater morewith to-go orders anyways, so no big deal.\n\nI had a Jalapeno sausage and cheese Klobansek and a Kolache (not pictured). Bothwere very good. the bread was fluffy and tender, and the filling on both of theme was great.\n\nI also got an iced latte. oneword of note on this is that it looks like all they have is a consumer level expresso machine, so the turn around time is muchslower than at a traditional coffee shop. If you are here, sure grab one, but solely based on time, I wouldn\'t recommend cominghere just for the coffee. Read more
