Got the Gyro and Chicken Mix Plate. So good! Delicious seasoned rice in 2/3 of the plate a salad with tomatoes and cucumbers on... 1/3. It was all topped with chicken and gyro meat and then topped with a delicious white sauce. We we were asked if we wantedhot sauce as well and we said yes. Hot sauce was very flavorful with a good amount of heat. We were also given a piece of eachof the baklava. Outstanding service. Went to this place because of high reviews!! It did not disappoint!!! Supper nice guy. Very sweet... disposition. He gave us cold water to drink on this hot day as we waited for our order!! I can't say enough about the food. Itwas perfect and plenty to eat!! We are from Alabama and visiting our daughter in Austin. My daughter will certainly go back. Wewill also the next time we are here!! Thank you for your kindness today!! Pretty decent halal spot. Open late. Portions could be bigger given price point but we?re not in NYC (backwards I know).
This truck is a gift to the community - it's more than just a great food truck. Some of the best falafel I've ever had, fair... and generous portions, great attention to detail in the plates (all the sides are great quality and nothing is an afterthought),there's magic in the rice I'd swear it, and Sami, the owner, has always been friendly and kind. "Not fast food, but great foodmade as fast as possible." If it's busy there may be a wait, but it's because everything is fresh and made to order. And it'sworth the wait.
