This is a really specific type of bakery that likely hits the spot exactly for some people, but is just not my favorite. I find... the pastries to be a little flavorless, lacking butter sometimes and sugar other times. The coffee selection is really limitedonly to milk, which is tough for lactose intolerant people like me. I found the flavor combos to be sometimes too odd to enjoy, but I say that with caveat that this is an Asian bakery catering to an Asian clientele, and it?s super possible that I?m theproblem here. The staff were really friendly and service is great here, it?s just not my favorite place in the area. Read more

super tasty!! the cakes are honestly pretty dry therefore overpriced for the quality. and we got a mango one that hsd TONS of... mango which was good but was actually not ripe at all and soooo hard. but the bread selection is so varied and everything seems(and is from what ive had) so good! I would give 2 stars for the cake but overall give 4 for the bakery because this was myfirst bad experience. dropped the cake which is why it ended up looking like this but they asked if it was a birthday cake (itwas) and gave us free candles and a cute little happy birthday chocolate decal. I am so proud of myself for 'discovering' this place! Located on the corner of the H-Mart building is this Taiwanese bakery and... café. Very similar in style to Korean and Japanese bakeries. They have a wide variety of both sweet and savory breads and othertreats. mostly sweet. They have lots of yummy stuff. I had one of their bread things with corn on top which was really good, aswell as a Thai Tea, also good. However, their crowning glory, is definitely their egg tarts. Now looking at them, they look nodifferent than any other egg custard tart. Initially, I was kind of mad that I couldn't just try one, since they only came inpacks of two, but I risked it. They were so delicious, I immediately turned my car around, went back in, and got a couplemore. The crust is not the usual, tasteless breading, it is this incredible flaky, almost filo dough-like texture, and the eggcustard is the perfect amount and consistency. They are amazing and I don't say this often. From looking around it looks likethere are two of these places in Austin, and the other location seems to sell them without the boxing, so either that's wherethey are made, or maybe they box the left overs. I don't know, but YOU MUST TRY THEM. Do not leave this place without getting acouple!!! Read more

I have been a loyal customer of 85C bakery for my Asian bakery fixes for a while now. Saw this mochi egg tart and I thought I... try it. I am not sure what I think of it. The mochi is chewy but has no taste and the top tastes like the regular egg tart. The mochi egg tart is not very sweet but my tastebuds were a little confused. I think it?s worth a try. Read more

Delicious mocha and sublime blueberry cheesecake. The cheesecake was light and creamy with perfect sweetness. The store is... clean, the prices are low and the line moves fairly quickly. Read more
