I visited this location the other day and was very disappointed. I ordered the oxtail meal like I had at this location and many... others in the past. I asked for no cabbage, white rice and plantains which were all fine. However for $24 I received a smallportion of actual oxtail. I asked the cashier if the serving was correct and she stated that the meal only came with 4 pieces.In all my years I have never known them to count the pieces. You can even see based on other pictures on their reviews thar wasnot the case. I understand that times are hard and inflation is effecting everyone but there is nothing about this meal thatwarrants $24. I will not be coming back to this location. Read more

I can't believe I was charged $28 for a small piece of red Snapper which the chef told me it was a large the only fish I eat is... Just left the GK Austell location where I was charged $12 for a small veggie plate, which only consisted of rice/peas and... cabbage <~ TWO VEGGIES! The other three decent options for veggies ~> yams, greens or Mac/cheese were all upcharges! After Ileft, I called the Kennesaw location and their veggie plate is $8.59. When I called Austell to ask why, Cleo told me that theirsmall veggie plate is 7.99, and yet I was charged $12. When I told her I was overcharged and paid $12 for two things, sheproceeded to tell me "everything has gone up". I told her I was OVERCHARGED and she proceeded..."like I said, everything hasgone up!" No apology, no "Come back and we'll give you back the difference..." Cleo told ME to call back Monday to speak withthe manager! Seriously? GK Austell stop overcharging your customers...we are all suffering from higher prices but beingovercharged a large for a small is WRONG! Kennesaw has better food anyway! This place advertised a Fish Fry and had very little fried fish. False advertising at its best. When you came in the ladies... behind the counter look at you strange when you asked for Fried Fish instead want to offer you the same fish they sell everydayEscovitch Fish. On top of that they were selling you a plate with mostly vegetables and one piece of fish for $28 plus tax. 11/16/21 Worst ?jerk? chicken I?ve ever had. Not one bit of jerk seasoning, pretty much unseasoned baked chicken. Hard... undercooked rice. We?ve been going since day 1 & it?s been downhill ever since. The poor overworked staff does their best everytime & the black cake is delicious. Read more

This was the best Golden Krust I've ever patronized. All of the staff was super friendly and they had a whole vibe going on in... the place with the music. Food was delicious and seasoned very well. I want them to come to my neighborhood and open a location. Read more
