Found food very oily and lacked flavour. Have changed to another chineese restraunt in Aurora which is much better.

Tried to give this place a second opportunity after a year hoping the quality of food might have improved, but to our dispair it... was still disappointing. The sesame chicken tasted like it was fried in some very old oil and had the after taste of bitter badoil. I am not sure if it's the cooking or the quality of ingredients used but I really hope they look into it. Except fornoodles, everything gave us the guilt of eating unhealthy. Rice was not cooked completely so we had to throw away the steamedrice box that came along with the order. My little guy got an upset stomach which was the most horrifying part. I thought that Empire Chef was the type of fast food restaurant that catered to non Asians. But I was so wrong and so... pleasantly surprised!!! Not only was the lunch special pricing amazing, the shear weight of the takeout container made mesmile. The food was delicious!!! I like Congee Queen type of food, and Empire Chef made me happy.
