10/15/22 6:25pm dine-in. An upsetting 1 star for this evening. Walked in with my family and was not greeted. It was not busy... so I’m not sure why we weren’t greeted. So I decided to say a nice loud “Hello!” Not one response from the 3 employeesbehind the counter. It took about 5 minutes to have our order taken. None of the 3 employees had the decency to say somethingalong the lines of “We’ll be with you in a few minutes…” One of the employees finally came to the register and saidnothing. I had to say “Hello we’d like to make an order…” We were not asked for pickles or up-sold on any other menuitems. After placing our order we went to a table and waited to eat. We ordered 4 sandwiches. 1 sandwich had no top bread, 1had no bottom bread, and 1 sandwich was a sloppy mess. A coke we purchased was flat. It was unpleasant to listen to the 3employees swearing amongst themselves while we ate. The place was dirty, the floor was not swept and the piles of chip boxesin the dining area wasn’t pleasant to look at either. Watched an employee wash the tables- he put the bucket of water on topof one of the tables but when he took the bucket away, he didn’t wipe the table where bucket sat. When we usually come herethere is an adult woman and/or a man who is very friendly, greets you, and asks you for options on your order. I guess it paysto have an adult on duty at all times to make sure you get the BEST customer service possible. Read more
While I live about an hour away from this location it is by far my favorite. Just about every one of their chains is an hour... away from me. It seems this one has at least a few family members that help run this particular establishment and I just reallyenjoy the workers as well as my sandwich always coming out perfect! Excellent sandwich as always. While waiting for my order, the staff had to unfortunately deal with a major Karen. The group that... ordered ahead of me was waiting by the door. One of the teenage girls was messing with some plants, pulling leaves off orsomething. Female worker asked her not to do that. Then the mom, aka Karen asked for a manager. And proceeded to berate the poorworker. She got so upset and went in back. Some people are horrible. Props to the manager for dealing with Karen calmy.Karen...go get some professional help. Firehouse is one of my favorite places to get subs. I recommend them to anyone who will listen and even have used them for... catering. Over the past number of months I’ve worked hard to obtain enough points for a free large sub. A few weeks ago Iwent to redeem my points at this location and it didn’t work. My reward was taken away, but I had to pay for the sub. Theowner was very nice about it and said they needed to contact corporate to have the points re-instated, but this is yet tohappen. I feel deceived and will think twice about doing business with Firehouse in the future. Read more
There were 3 staff working in the restaurant during my visit, but only one person was really working and preparing sandwiches. ... The other two were just standing around chatting with each other. I stood by the register for at least one good minute untilone of the 2 people chatting came over to take my order, and he didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I love sandwiches and this is included in the good spots I know with delicious sandwiches in this area. It is basically a normal... sandwich shop with a nice, cozy atmosphere and vibe. The place is always a good option whenever I am in this area and I do nothave a particular place in mind to eat. The place is always clean, and they also have the nicest, most accommodating, andhelpful staff. I got a lot of requests, especially if I wanted to build my own sandwich and the staff would do it accurately.One of my favorites is their spicy Cajun chicken sandwich, and that is exactly what I ordered the last time I went here. Likeusual, the service is quick, and I did not take long inside the shop since I ordered for takeout. The sandwich was freshly madeto order and was still hot even after a long time. I like the flavor of the Cajun chicken and the kick of spiciness it has, andit definitely goes well together, especially, of course, with the delicious sauce and fresh veggies in it. This was my first time eating at a Firehouse Subs (your Eola Commons location), and used a gift card that I got for my birthday.... All of your staff were really friendly, my food tasted perfect, and you have a wide range of great looking good and drinks. Ienjoyed using my Firehouse Subs mobile app, it's easy to use, has a generous rewards program, and it makes ordering ahead easy. Lastly, I like that you were founded by firefighters and I'll donate as much as I can to your firefighters fund.
