A good place to meet friends and enjoy some food to eat. Have a beer or a cocktail. Sit inside or on the patio. So many choices.

Today was my first time at The Hideaway Lounge. Upon arriving I was greeted with the friendliest service I've had in years (The... only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because Renee was the most amazing bartender I've had in years), but things wentdownhill from there. Some regular named Jason (who was very clearly overserved) was preying on virtually every woman at the barand acting extremely creepy. This Jason person then stole the phone of another customer. The phone was located by calling andwas right in front of Jason. As soon as the phone was located practically in his hands he tried to fight almost everyone in thebar for the accusation of what he very clearly did. 2 individuals who identified themselves as employees with the names of Pauland Chris tried to fix the issue (they refused to tell me their names for several minutes because of how poorly they handled thesituation). The only positive thing they succeeded in doing was preventing Jason from hitting someone, but only by the skin oftheir teeth. They still let him back in the bar to continue to prey on women and steal things from the other customers. Upontelling them they handled this situation poorly Chris and Paul got argumentative with me and encouraged me to leave for voicingmy opinion instead of the obvious preditor. I tried to handle things calmly in person and was verablly attacked by staff and Iwas just a bystander. There will need to be some significant policy and staff changes before I'll ever spend another dime atthis establishment and I'm fearful for any female that might be a victim of this clearly accepted behavior. Worst bar owner in Denver. Owner claims I was going to walk out on my tab mid way through a poker game where I was doing pretty... well and had no intention of leaving. Then proceeded to take me out of my seat and force me to pay my tab. I had asked him towait for my wife to come back with the card as she was out of the poker game and went across the street thinking that they hadtaken our card on arrival to start our tab, which they did not. Maybe you should think about doing so in the future if you areso worried about people walking out on tabs. The owner did not want to wait for her to come back and would not allow me tocontinue the poker game but also would not let me leave by grabbing my arms the while another man was in my face calling my wifea *****. I was telling my wife to come back to pay. I have been there multiple times in the past and have never walked out on abill anywhere before in my life. It was a miss understanding that turned into them trying to fight me and call the policeinstead of waiting for my wife to return, which she did and we did pay. I will never be back, which is sad cause it seems likethey are struggling. Read more
