We?ve come to Portico a couple times now. Consistency is their best ingredient. Food is always delicious and we enjoy something... new every time. Here?s what we ordered (apologies I don?t remember all the unique dish names): - Ethiopian Lager (beer) (I askedthe most popular Ethiopian beer and we received a delicious option, see photo) - Sambusas (they come individual, we ordered twolentil and one beef. Both very delicious and crispy) - Spicy Lamb (very delicious, a little oily, but great taste) - VeggiePlatter (portioned for two people; all yummy options, though would have liked to have had the spinach a little warmer). Becausewe enjoy Portico so much, we give it five stars. We do want to give everyone a heads up that it?s not the cleanestestablishment. Nevertheless, the food is fantastic and the staff are incredibly nice and patient. I very much recommendchecking out Portico. Try something new and support you local, black-owned businesses. Enjoy! While on holiday, we had take-away for eight, everyone from grandma to the three year old really enjoyed our meal from... Portico! The sauces were incredibly delicious, vegatable perfectly tender and crisp and the portions were very generous. We satin the restaurant and had Ethiopian beers and the most delicious coffee. All of the staff and were attentive, service andcare was exemplary. I enjoyed left overs for a midnight snack! Read more

The staff was excellent! very welcoming, very helpful. I really appreciate a staff that really guides you through their menu,... especially when you?re new to their food/culture. We got the lamb and the beef and they were both by far my favorite. I?mdefinitely going to bring my friends here to experience the amazing food that they have here. The presentation was wonderful,The second I walked in there I honestly felt like I was going to church because they had some kind of incense going and itsmelled divine. the bathrooms were excellent condition. Based on the reviews, we chose this This Ethiopian restaurant over closer ones in my area for a delivery order. Restaurant is 1... mile away. Took over an hour to get the food delivered. Ordered 3 dinner entrees. The Lamb Tsada Tibsi, Beef Tibsi Fitfit, andDorho Tsebhi . The description of the Dorho Tsebhi (I posted the picture of this dish with the lonely chicken leg) says a wholecut up chicken but we received 1 chicken leg wrapped in Injera and spices. There probably was shredded chicken as well in themixture but a total of maybe 1 cup worth of sauce mixture. We got fooled on that one. The Beef Tibsi fitfit was inedible, thesmall chunks of beef were so chewy that it never chewed up. We didn?t even eat that one. The lamb tsars Tibsi had the best meattexture out of all three dishes and flavor was good, but again, the mixture inside the injera was mainly more injera. We paid$60 for three meals that we didn?t eat one of and there wasn?t enough food for all three of us to get full. Don?t bother withthis place. Read more
