Sonoda?s Sushi is great! Their prices are excellent when compared to other sushi restaurants of similar caliber, the sushi is... good, and the service was very friendly and timely. We were even given free green tea ice cream and sushi-themed calendars atthe end of our meal! I also appreciated the aquariums and neat fish :) We also attended with a friend who has shellfishallergies and they gladly accommodated her and she had no issues during our meal. Read more

I've been patronizing this restaurant for 25 plus years. It is a bit pricey, but when eating fish, freshness is highly... important. Sonoda's has been in this location for literally decades. It's my go-to place for the best sushi in the Denver Metro area. I... highly recommend everything on the menu. I specifically love the shrimp sushi because the tails are prepared raw, but they deepfry the heads and serve them on a separate plate. Anyone who truly appreciates great sushi should order this. Very fresh ingredients especially the sashimi. The sea eel, freshwater eel, and sweet shrimp are the best I ever had. Rainbow... and green hornet rolls are my favorite rolls. The staff was ok, but sometimes were very slow. Would recommend. Read more

Amazing sushi! We ordered an obscene amount of food here for my dad's birthday. They were super busy but with appetizers we... didn't notice the wait. We had the shumai, which came out piping hot, gyoza, miso soup, shrimp tempura and lobster appetizer.The lobster was the best I've ever had...usually I only like crab but wow. As for sushi my Dad got the sashimi dinner within isa great value for $30. I got a spicy Cali roll (the spicy component is spiced roe, not spicy mayo) and they were so kind to makeme a Dragon roll (Cali roll with barbecued eel on top). I can not recommend this place enough! I took my kids here for one of their birthdays. I told them theu could order anythinf they wanted. They ordered way more food... then they could eat, but ate it promptly when we got back to the hotel. The staff was very nice and patient as we ordered. Wewill be stopping in next time we're in town.
