Stopped in for a snack for the road. I had a long drive home and it was already 3 am,There were no other customers there at the... moment but a couple came in shortly after. Service was slow at this waffle house, and I couldn't hear the server she was bearly able to talk. My wife's bacon came out on a... greasy dirty plate. Had to ask for Waffle that came with meal. You could smell stiff burning in there. Such a shame they areright next to I-20 with a large parking lot. The Waffle Houses on North Belair and Washington roads are way better. This issupposed to be a corporate store, does not look good on the corporation. Read more
My husband and I went with our sons yesterday for breakfast for my son's birthday. My meal and my boys' meals were satisfactory,... even though they did get our order wrong. They actually gave us additional items that we did not order (two pieces of bacon,hashbrowns, and toast) that they said we could just keep and they would not charge us for. However, when the steak and eggs myhusband ordered came out, he took a bite and the meat was rancid and he had to spit it out. He politely called the waitress overto let her know the meat had gone bad. She was very kind, apologized, and took the meal back. The cook then came over andapologized and asked if he would like something else. He ordered the same thing I had, and we waited. Our waitress brought thecheck over and when I paid it, I asked if his meal could just be put in a " to go" box and she said yes. We waited while ourkids finished eating and his meal still hadn't come. When we got up to leave I asked if his meal was ready. Our waitress spoketo someone else working there, then told me "not yet" (I don't think they had even started it). I told her we were just going tohead out, so they didn't need to make it. They ended up charging us significantly less than what we should have been charged forthe food we did get, but overall the experience was not a great one. My husband could not get the nasty taste of sour meat outof his mouth until he was able to get home and brush his teeth. My son did enjoy his meal, so at least for him he had arelatively good experience. Read more
Waffle House. A staple of Southern cuisine. It's exactly what you expect. It's conveniently located. And the staff is very... efficient. Great for a quick breakfast mid-week, but we freak when on the weekend after church. Always reliable. And unlike somefancier restaurants they're capable of doing eggs anyway. Read more
I think we're walked in between shifts. We were the only customers. The poor guy who took and made our order looked like he was... on his break. He helped us immediately. The food was excellent and prepared quickly. He was courteous and professional. One ofthe best experiences I've had at a Wafflehouse. Read more
Worst service ever! Sitting and waiting on a table for 30-45 minutes. They were finally cleaning off a table, a man ran and got... the table we were waiting on! I told the waitress Crystal and she did not at all care about the situation! Never will go to thisWaffle House again!!! The order was wrong, not to go either, Crystal wrote the order down wrong. I can't rate the food because we left before being waited on. There was no greeting when we entered the restaurant and half of... the unit was closed off. My son and I sat at the high bar where we were just glared at by the staff, never greeted or offeredutensils etc. After about 5 mins of being ignored we just left the restaurant. I will not go back to this location and there isanother one less than a mile away that offers great service. Read more
