Such a great place especially for a date night. Some nights can be much busier than others do just be prepared to wait but it?s... worth it. The baked goods and ice cream are really good. I am truly in love with establishment!! The sweets was amazing, I had the Ric Rac Breading Pudding and it was delicious!! Oh my... gosh the Carmel whiskey sauce was really sweet and the best topping for this pound cake. Mitchel our bartender was super niceand I truly loved his Tokyo cocktail he made, it?s not on the menu but make sure to ask him for it. This place did not dissapoint one bit! We sat at the bar where the drinks are hand made and looked very fancy. The desserts... tasted luxuriously!!! The best desserts I've had in a long time! I spoke to the owner and he told me the story of Vance's andit's a beautiful one. The owner is also a veteran and i loved that he loves his country. His wife is the chef and bakes along3 other bakers. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful and perfect for an evening out. They do check your ID before comingin, so be ready for that. They will be having several events there (like musical bingo and D&D night) and I'll be sure to comeback. I wasn't expecting to fall in love with this place, but I did. Also the men who worked there were dressed like realgentleman (tie and vest) and it added an extra amount of coolness to the atmosphere. They do have food too which lookeddelicious. Boozy bakery? Yes please!!!! The crazy part is how amazing everything tastes!!So delicious!!! Great setting great staff who are... really geared up about their products! Our server recommended so many things and we wanted to try everyone of them with herexcitement of describing the desserts. The cobbler omg the cobbler is the best tasting dessert I've had in forever!! Cottonbites were omg must try. We got two desserts to go that I can't wait to try! Vance's is a cute spot to get together in an intimate setting with friends and family, however the dessert was average. Very... cute plating but not a lot of flavor. The chocolate chip cookies were the best thing I tasted but were cold, which I'm not a fanof. Overall I was not impressed nor do I have an urge to return. Read more
They do check ID at the door. Desserts are infused but we didn't really taste alcohol. They're not super sweet either. The... drinks are not for the faint of heart. Strong and delicious. Vance's Bakery bar has officially converted me into a sweets and booze fanatic!! This may now be one of of my favorite spots... downtown and I am not even a dessert person. Not only did I love the vibe of Vance's bakery but the dessert and cocktails wereamazing. Since I l don't generally have a sweet tooth, it takes a lot for me to say I really enjoy desserts and let me tellyou these were delicious! I really enjoyed the 2nd City chocolate chip cookie and the berry fission cocktail the most! Thestaff was excellent and the owner was very sweet and personable. We also shared a Charcuterie and cheese board which were alsogood but their highlights are definitely the desserts and the ambiance. I Will definitely be back! Read more
Check IDs at the door. The bartender(s) were very friendly and checked on us often. As far as the dessert went (bread pudding)..... was a bit dry and overly sweet. Not inedible, it was still tasty. Drinks were strong! Almost too strong if you're consideringhaving a few. But interesting varieties included with pairings for dessert items on the menu. In all, certainly not a bad placeto enjoy a sweet treat and unique drinks. Bit on the pricer end but certainly worth a visit. Read more
