This place has a big wait time which is why I am docking a star. But overall as a whole this place is absolutely fantastic,... wonderful service and the food is great. As overrated as golf course food is this place did not disappoint one of the betterrestaurants to eat at while golfing in the CSRA. Read more

Cute lil place off the beaten path. We got there as they were closing but hostess encouraged us to stay. We just ordered an... appetizer an onion blooming type dish. It was just ok. Well presented though. Dipping sauce was horrible. However the menulooked quite good and we will try it again. Service was slow but againay they were closing for the day so no hard feelings. I liked this place. I had to use my GPS to find it, but It was worth it. The parking lot and exterior belie the great... interior. The inside is rich wood and nicely decorated. The back windows over look lush woods and a fantastic outdoor seatingarea. It the staff are friendly and attentive. They know the menu and are helpful with descriptions and recommendations. Nowto the good part. The food was very good. My wife had crab cakes and I had the shrimp and grits. Both were excellent. Aftertasting each other's food, we sort of looked longingly at each other's plates. Prices are reasonable. Not the cheapest place, but well worth everything there is included in the experience. All in all, well worth the trip from Aiken. We will be back. Ihighly recommend this place. Read more

At first glance we thought, "oh boy...what are we getting into here? " But, we were pleasantly surprised! The food was... outstanding. Everything tasted wonderful & unique. The staff were extremely personable. Our waitress (Stephanie S.) was THEBEST WAITRESS we've had since I can't remember when. This will DEFINITELY be on the list of one of our favorite places to dinewhenever we're in Augusta. The only negative thing I can comment on is thay they seriously need to improve the restrooms. Showercurtains separating the stalls leaves not a lot of privacy ???? But, I think it's in line with the "Jamaican" theme. Read more

Food was good, service was awful. Sat at the table for 10 minutes before even being greeted or drinks taken. Then sat with empty... glasses majority of the time we were there and when my husband got up from the table for a few minutes the waiter came to refillhis glass and said "he sure is thirsty" in a very condescending way. Appetizer was lukewarm upon arriving at our table. I ate myentire entree without a drink. Atmosphere was great, prices very reasonable. Read more

My friends and I dined at Raes tonight to celebrate a birthday and it was amazing!! From the time we arrived to the time we left... the service was top notch. Stephanie was our server tonight and she was on top of it. We also met one of the owners Shadrick(sp)and he is what many owners/manager should strive to be. Along with excellent service the food was delicious the jerk pork wastender and juicy. The crab cakes the best I have had in Augusta! Read more

We visited for lunch on a Saturday to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The food was really tastey. She and I had the chicken... in a flaky pastry. It was served hot and was delicious. My husband had the wings and said they were good as well. The onlynote I would make to others would be about the restrooms that had shower curtains instead of doors and are in desperate need ofan upgrade. The fish tank was awesome. Service was great and they have a friendly staff. Read more

If by coastal you mean the questionable creek that runs behind it then ok. Not worth the hype and definitely not worth the... money. Make reservations because if you sit outside you will be swatting flies the entire time! The flies were crazy. I orderedthe shrimp and grits and it was the worst mistake I had made all day, besides driving to Augusta to begin with. Never had gritswith the taste and consistency of Thanksgiving dressing. It was gross, like really gross. Maybe the cook thought it wasdressing. The shrimp were nonexistent and located on the bottom of the microwaved dish. They were chewy and way too pink, probably left in the microwave too long. The pineapple was so hard I could hardly cut it, they should have thrown it in themicrowave too. My mom said her salmon was good so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. The server was beyond nice and helpful, even brought us an empty bottle of bug spray to look at. Leave the coastal seafood to the coast, not a building in the middle ofan apartment complex in the city. Read more
