The atmosphere is beautiful! Great for a night out with friends. So many options for a nice cocktail, craft beer, etc. The food... was good, although the rice was mushy/overcooked. The braised pork was also dry, which was surprising. Flavor is good! I justwish the cook on the food was better executed. They were very busy that night, so I?m willing to give it another try. -The atmosphere was awesome. -The amount of food is far less than any Cuban restaurant I've to. (If you want more than 2... plantains -maduro /to stones you have to order another side of them) - I'm Cuban so my honest feedback is: the rice was verybland and needed salt. - The dipping sauce for the empanada: you can't dip it or else everything inside empanadas comes out ????Not sure what the solution here is other than pour sauce inside the empanada ???? - The flan was ridiculously small for how muchit costs and not big enough to share. It was very authentic tasting for sure, and IF you eat it slow, it is filling. Not surewhy they had strawberries and blueberries on top of flan, that's not how Cubans I grew up with ate it and it's absolutelyamazing on its own. Not terrible with the berries, you decide. - if you want a quiet dinner with your date, the earlier you gothe better. It became very loud between 7:30-9pm on a Saturday night. - they were out of Cuban coffee which would have pairedgreat with the flan ????so I can't rate it. Great music. Our server was nice. I ate here before renovations and the drinks were strong and food was delicious. I recently visited after renovations and the... decor is beautiful. The head host Brad was excellent, very friendly, and went out his way to invite us in for a bite. I wishedwe would have tipped him. The bartender Brooklyn was amazing as well. He was very customer friendly, service was on par, anddrinks were beautiful & delicious. I did not quite like the food. However these staff in particular made the experienceenjoyable for my husband and I. Read more
Absolutely enjoyed the food and ambience! Please, eat at the bar, the bartenders are hilarious. Food was tasteful and drinks... were on point. The good came out quick which I was surprised. For me, this was a good spot to have something different. I loveCuban food and I feel they've done a job well done with capturing the food of Cuba. Most importantly I love the ambience of theplace. Wanted to try before, but never got the chance until today. Everything was so tasty & different. The watermelon salad was... lacking some dressing, so we asked for more. That did the trick. The chargrilled Brussels sprouts is to die for. I can eatthat everyday if I was a vegan. Shrimp burger was so unique. Instead of a crab cake sandwich, it?s a shrimp cake sandwich. Excellent. But the Tavern burger was best. Peach bread pudding was perfect. The Mai Tai cocktail was a knockout. Our waitresswas awesome. She knew the menu & always with a smile. My husband and I visited this cute little restaurant for lunch today, and it was pretty packed! We thought there might be a... long wait, but we were invited to sit at the bar. Best decision!
