Our waitress was so high on either pills or Herion...I'll never go back..My eggs were cooked perfectly (over easy).. however my... home fries were cold and I asked for onions in them...I got almost a whole onion thrown on top..My granddaughter asked what waswrong with the servers...how do u explain that 2 a 5yr old?? Top quality food. Reasonable prices. Large servings. Friendly, personable waitresses. Other diners are mediocre by... comparison. We had out-of-state guests who wanted to experience a diner. I?ve been here a couple of times recently. Once was in the mid afternoon and I had the mix burger, which was excellent, and the... second time, at dinner time, I had the Virginia Ham mini meal, which is hardly a mini meal as you get a soup or salad, the hamwith two vegetables and a dessert. Both times I had a server named Zack and the experience was excellent. The food was verygood, the server was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing and the prices were reasonable. Went here for a light dinner with my daughter, Trish. To our surprise, the salad was large enough to feed 4 people. It was... delicious!! The chicken tenders were cooked to perfection. Ordered delivery from Black Horse and food was all present for and accounted. Chicken salad sandwich - came with fries, pickle... and a coleslaw. All were perfect. The Black Horse Diner & Restaurant is located along the Black Horse Pike in Mount Ephraim, NJ. I have been here several times... over the years when I have visited the area. My most recent visit was on October 7, 2019. I was in the area at the end ofSeptember and the beginning of October, as I had scheduled back to back cruises on the Disney Magic. During this entire trip, Icame in for breakfast on September 23, 2019 and also had lunch here on October 7, 2019. For the visit on September 23, 2019, wewere immediately seated and then greeted by our server. She asked if we wanted anything to drink while we looked over the menu. I did go with an apple juice, which would be included with what I would order. After getting the drinks, we were ready toorder. I went with the #3 Breakfast Combination with French Toast and bacon. About eight to ten minutes later, the food cameout. The food came out very hot and fresh. The food was excellent as I had experienced in years prior. Service was great andtimely throughout as well. The next visit would be for lunch a few days after getting off the cruise. Just like the othervisit, we were immediately seated and then greeted by our server. On this visit, I went with their Bacon Cheeseburger specialentree, which included soup and dessert too. For the soup, I went with the chicken noodle soup, which was the first thing tocome out. The soup was very good and hot. It was nice to have before the meal. Shortly after that, the entree came out to thetable. The burger looked really good, tasted great, juicy, and was cooked exactly has I had asked. After the meal, I also gotto choose from a dessert, and I went with the tapioca pudding, which was also very good. Went here for the first time last night. The service was very friendly. The server was great. I think her name was Britenny... (apologies if I mispelled). I had my food around 5 minutes after I ordered, and it was one of the best omelets I've had. I'dgive 6 stars if I could. Read more
