Reviews for El Fogon Authentic Mexican Grill in Auburn Hills, MI
I had 4 tacos with cilantro and onions the shells were very dry. It tasted awful I almost got sick from it. Worst tacos I ever... had in my life. Taco bell does way better on their tacos. Not planning on coming back ever. 14 dollars is ridiculous for 4tacos. I ended up throwing them away. Wasn't worth it. It also made me nauseous and dizzy Read more
I ordered food today, because I was struggling with a really bad migraine and my spouse is still getting over their surgery.... When the food arrived it was truly the biggest disappointment food could ever be. The food was inedible. I have never seensomething so disgusting looking in my life show up in a styrofoam container. A bare burrito bowl from TB looks far better thenwhatever that was. It was the definition of a waste of money. I took pictures of the food, and scraped together food that I hadat home and made dinner instead. This was just awful and it made the night even worse. The Mexican Strawberries with Cream comesin a small container that would be used for soup, was even more disappointed for the price and how tiny it was. So long storyshort if your looking to throw money straight into the trash, this is the place to go. Read more
I went here with my girlfriend and her mother for lunch and ordered the cola chicken. The chips they gave us to start with were... very stale. The sauce for my meal was truly unique... in a bad way. But the chicken itself was fine. The rice was mushy anddidn't have much flavor, but I could tolerate it. The lettuce was lettuce, whatever. My biggest complaint is that they only gave5 or so tortillas (I ordered corn) which was not nearly enough for the amount of food they gave me. I had to eat about half ofthe meal without tortillas. The only time a server came to our table was to give us our food. You have to order your food atthe counter. Remember that I came here to eat with my girlfriend and her mother. We were seated at a table for two and theentire surface of the table was covered and cramped. My girlfriend's seat was in the middle of the aisle. My experience wasn'tappalling, but this was definitely the worst Mexican restaurant I've been to and I would never come here again. Read more

One of the best Al Pastor tacos in the area! I went to El Fogon after seeing a Groupon deal. It was great! Very close to... authentic Mexican tacos. Salsa verde is amazing! I would definitely go back & try different things. Highly recommend. Read more
I?m so sad to give a poor review but the fajitas were not edible. The meat was so fatty and chewy and just not edible. The... flavors were all really good so it made me sad to have to throw $15 fajitas in the garbage but I couldn?t even pick out goodbites. Read more
Excellent authentic Mexican. Not a lot of seating if looking to dine in. The Chorizo was delicious, and the Carnitas with Green... sauce wasn't overly spicy. The red had some kick to it. Rice and beans with, did very well. The Jamaica (drink) was excellent.Good service and friendly staff. Read more
I live in the Southwest and was pleasantly surprised at the great, authentic Mexican food served at El Fogon. It's a very laid... back hole in the wall sort of place with a high volume of take out orders because the food is so good. Definitely worth stoppingby for a casual sit down or take out meal! Read more
