Went tonight for dinner. Got poutine, which was good, a little too much pepper in the gravy, but that's just personal taste. Got... buffalo chicken tenders, that's where things took a turn. The flavor of the sauce was great, the chicken itself, not so much.One piece, buried in the bottom, was overcooked to a point that it was dry and cracking/flaking meat. The rest were over cookedand chewy. The fries were saturated in grease and flavorless. Cole slaw was good. The waitstaff was friendly and prompt. Theportions were pretty large. This is hands down the best American-style Pub & Grill in the area. The Team Sandwich, the Nachos, the wings, etc. I literally... coukd go on. Great drinks. Great family atmosphere. If you went somewhere else for this type of atmosphere, you settled. Read more
I kind of don't want to write a review. Because I haven't found a place like this in years and dont want to share. A small hole... in the wall with good food that is open late, a not super aggressive crowd, a clean dining room with tvs and reminiscent of yourgrandfather memorabilia. Since the pandemic everyone is overpriced, never open the hours listed on the web and rude. This placeis none of those bad things and a lot of great things America has lost. Hungrily looking for a bite to eat post hike. A quick Yelp search and Gipper?s popped up. Going in blindly, this place was a... pleasant surprise. Packed to the brim with sports memorabilia, this place had all the makings and feels of a great localhometown place. Seated immediately and handed menus, my friend and I ordered two local brews and browsed the menu. The menu ishuge. There are so many options it was hard to choose. A lot of the burgers and tasty meals are named after famous athletes. Onerecommendation I can definitely say would be the chicken tenders. Holy moly! I don?t typically brag about chicken but these werehot, tender, juicy, and crispy. I opted for a chicken club and my friend went with the steak.
