Reviews for Safeway in Auburn, CA
I love Safeway!!! I had been doing yard work and thought that the poison oak had been cleared from my property. Well...it's back... and worse than ever. Safeway came through for me. Instead of wishing I could jump off a cliff, I'm using ZANFEL and it works.Thank you Safeway, for having the product when NO ONE else in Auburn had it. Read more
Well stocked and clean! Plenty of room in the aisles, unlike some of the other Safeways in the area. Great rewards program and... coupons for their rewards club members. Even though it was a last minute trip to pick up some need items for dinner, when I sawthe pharmacy was open and no wait, I figured I might as well see if they could squeeze me in for a flu shot and COVID boostersince so many folks I know are getting sick. They took me right on in and I was back to shopping in no time! And Sai was supergentle, just barely even felt a pinch. This has become my favorite Safeway. Read more
This location has superior baked goods, produce and flowers. I love to come here after work and get treats and food to bring... home for the family. The curbside service is fast, friendly and convenient. Really appreciate these essential workers. You giveme groceries that we transform into family meals. Thank you. Much appreciated. Read more
Good selection [visited 3 other supermarkets & Safeway was the only one with 2 brands of gruyere, (2 didn't have any). Clean,... well-stocked & the usual Safeway organizing. Also, as usual, no staff on the floor & only one checkout open. Strangely, I didn'tnotice a lot of store brands [Safeway Select & Signature]. Their store brands are usually very high quality, so that wasdisappointing. I probably won't shop here much if they don't have the SSelect versions of frozen veg, pantry staples & crackers. Read more
This place is super busy. It's a good store but all the surrounding stores have better prices. The deli here is below par. They... never have enough people working and it takes forever to get one item, and it's food is 15% too expensive. They don't have aticket machine to let employees know who was there first. They have many self checkout lanes but they don't accept cash anymore. They won't explain why if you ask. It gets backed up because there isn't always someone to help the old people who struggle touse the simple to use registers. Employees here are not friendly or polite and would rather avoid you instead of helping. Theydo a semi good job at keeping the shelves full compared to neighboring Target. Target is rhe worst store in US history atkeeping shelves stocked. A chimp could do better then the warehouse manager at Target. So stick with Safeway or Smart and Finalor Bel Air. The biggest positive is the booze selection and availability. Read more
It's a nice, big store. I always find everything I need. They have a big bakery/deli section. The down-side is the long lines.... There never seems to be enough checkers. At least this location has two restrooms next to the Starbucks, inside. Read more

Shopped VERY late on a Friday night. My only complaint was that it was cold in the store, possibly due to a lot of restocking... going on. I don't mind the boxes and activity of the stocking at all. Thanks to all at Safeway for the first rate job they aredoing. Read more
