The new owners bought low quality ingredients for pizza and it wasn't good anymore.
I ordered a pizza from the Maidu location tonight using a coupon that came in the blue mailer. Over the phone I told the man I... had a coupon for a large 1 topping pizza. I arrived and presented my coupon (which doesn't expire until late October 2022) andrefused to accept it. He rudely informs me that those coupons are only good at the Bell Rd location and he can do $18 for thepizza tonight. I showed him the entire coupon which lists the Maidu address and phone number. He gets more rude with merefusing the coupon. No "sorry for the inconvenience" or anything of the sort. I asked him to honor the coupon this one time(the fact I said I had the coupon over the phone when ordering should have flagged his attention). He then tells me that "Thereis no one time!" Basically, this rude man was willing to give me a discount to $18 but wouldn't honor the $17 the couponstated. I left and won't be back. I don't give business to rude establishments. Beware! It's a tradition that got started 5 years ago: Every time my best friend and I finish stomping around the foothills and make the... trek back to Sac, we end the day at Pizza Express for their gourmet vegetarian. Nothing like a good hike along the river,followed by a gazillion-veg pizza that has a carnivore like me never once missing the meat. Ask for it well baked, as thevegetarian is pretty juicy and requires a more substantive bread-plate. We always leave happily stuffed and with leftovers! Read more
First time ordered. A little issue with the online order process so I had to order twice and have a hold on one of my cards and... order again on another. The pizza arrived fast but I think it fell! It was all jumbled up! The crust was very soft but it wastasty in spite of all that. The staff were nice though and the delivery driver was nice as well. On the fence. Maybe it was justthis order. It’s very pricey. Over $30 for a medium with proper tip and delivery fee. Read more
Edited. Best tasting pizza in Auburn hands down. As a repeat customer I will say the customer service has been great most of... the time. The pizzas are always fresh when received whether ordering delivery or takeout. I have had a few errors such as awrong pizza delivered as well as being asked to use a more expensive alternative (DoorDash) to just calling in for delivery dueto lack of drivers but this has not pushed me away as a customer as of yet. I dined in and had a great experience. The man at the front really cares about his customers. My boyfriend had a pizza and I had... the meatball sub. We didn’t have time for my sandwich to cool off so I needed a box and he made sure I was satisfied with thefood since there was so much left. Very inviting and comfy place will return. Side note pricing is very reasonable and food isvisually and actually delicious. Read more
