Reviews for El Forastero Mexican Food in Auburn, CA
Top notch quick Mexican food! The burritos are good sized and the service was great. The guy working the register was friendly... and sociable. Read more
I'm a pretty chill dude when it comes to Mexican food, but this place really upset me when I ordered a simple chorizo breakfast... burrito with grilled onions. Instead of saying "oh, we don't grill our onions" or "we can't do that" or whatever, they put whatfeels like six handfuls of raw diced onions in my burrito to where there was more onion than there was burrito. Then my uncle'sburrito, a ham breakfast, had more fluid in it than a bottle of water. They only half decent part of our order was My cousin'staquitos even though those were dry, but luckily it came with sauce that helped a little bit. On top of all of that when wewere making our order we were the only ones in line, There was no one in the drive-thru, and the worker made it feel like wewere bothering her for the 5 minutes it took us to place our order. I would recommend finding roadkill on the street andcooking it on your car hood before. I would recommend buying food from this place. Read more
Decent for a quick lunch. No complaints but it didn't wow us either. Dining room was clean and service was fast. I liked that... they had radishes, escabeche, and roasted jalapenos at the salsa bar. Read more
Ok place. Not very impressive building or with drive-through. While placing order, had to repeat my order a few times. Prices... are standard. Burrito was larger than Taco Bell?s but the price was 2x higher, but it was hot and good. Drove out of my way toeat here due to online reviews, but not worth going the extra miles. Read more
I was in the area when I searched Google maps for Mexican food, so this listed by many who favored the food. The price for a... bean n cheese burrito was around $5, but it was hot, and a good size with plenty of cheese. I expected something better, butit?s fine when in the area. The outer appearance lacks finesse, and service is ok, but not worth going out the way. Read more

I don't eat fast food ever, except for this place. I found this randomly once. It was the only place open after my welding... classes. I prefer going at night because the night staff is the absolute best. I will say if you ever can go in they have somany other salsas than they do through the drive through. My goto foods: Number 21 chorizo breakfast burrito The chicken rolledtacos with sour cream Carne asada tacos I've tried other things that are good too but these are my favorite. Food was good, I got the enchiladas w beans and rice. Service was just ok, didn't have a bad experience or anything like that,... but could've been more welcoming. It was super quiet, only a couple tables at noon-ish felt weird. The game on the TV was onpretty loud, made it hard to focus on having a conversation. But could've just been the day we happened to visit. Can't say I'llreturn, many better Mexican food places in the area to choose from. Read more
