Food was amazing and the costumer service of the waitress was even better. DID NOT like hearing management or whoever talking... bad about a co-worker VERY loudly and completely unprofessional. I understand sometimes you get used to the music playing in thelobby but sometimes it stops and your costumers hear. Maybe Instead of Yelling at your employees about bad reviews and cussingyou should take constructive criticism and do better instead of treating staff badly. Read more

Our food was decent, what you'd expect from a black bear. Though the service was very slow. We were seated over an hour before... we got food. We had to remind the staff about condiments and drinks they didn't bring out. Read more

Only stopped to use the restroom on the way down from Truckee. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained however I was... very surprised they were very few people and at this time of day . Thank you Black Bear Diner. I'll definitely come back andhave a meal there. Read more

The food was SO good, as was the service. My friend and I went in around 1:30 on a Wednesday. There was plenty of seating.... Everything was very clean. Our portions were so huge, we both had a box full of leftovers to take home after. Read more

It was one of the best experiences that I had visiting a Black Bear restaurant since I was a kid. Lisa was our server an... accommodated us as though we were her own family. Every interaction that we had with her was pleasant and appreciated. She wasespecially good with our 6yr old Teresa who only likes poached eggs but had never tried hollandaise sauce before. It was theperfect stop after our vacation at Lake Tahoe, I will drive the extra distance to go to that Black Bear again, even though thereare much closer ones here that are good.
