I haven't eaten at El Adobe in quite a number of years due to past bad experiences. I decided to give them another shot and I... was not disappointed. Although the service was rather slow, my food was very delicious. I got Flips Fiesta quesadilla. They didnot skimp on the filling and it was very flavorful. I will definitely give them another shot. The only good thing about our Visit was the waitress. The rice was hard and grainy, and it was not mexican rice. The cheese... enchilada was covered with chili that tasted old and was really salty. The beans were nasty. We couldn't finish our enchiladaplates because they were so bad. We just asked our waiter for the check and left dissapointed after paying $50+ for food likethis. Read more
Chips were stall. Salsa tasted like cold tomato sauce with slight spice. It felt like the least authentic Mexican restaurant I... have ever been to. I did not even see a single Mexican waiter everyone was literally white and the menu felt American. It feltlike the entire restaurant was made by Americans trying to make a Mexican restaurant. It took a long time to get our order. Theservice was a little good because at least they checked on us for refills. Then the worst thing happen. My burrito order washorribly wrong as I asked for no meat and made it clear and it came full of ground beef. I am a vegetarian so it was kindaannoying and I straight up accidentally ate a tiny bit so like the heck and it made me feel really sick after and just bad likeI straight up almost threw up and was spitting constantly in the bathroom and felt like I was going to pass out. Even after theygot my order back correctly it was pretty gross and the metal plate they gave it to me on was burning hot and they said nothingand when I was trying to cut open my burrito to really check this time I the plate did not burn me but it was very painful. Ihad to transfer the whole burrito to a different plate and after all that, I had really lost my appetite and felt sick then justleft frustrated, and very disgusted. Food and service were good. Prices were very reasonable. Best beans I have ever eaten as a side in a Tex-Mex meal. Tasted... fresh and weren't as dry as most beans are that you get as a side. A/C felt good after a long drive. The beef in the taco wasgenerous and tasted good. Only downside, I liked the way the salsa was served, but I didn't like the taste. Not your usualcanned salsa so I assume they make their own but I didn't like the flavor. I appreciate their attempt though. Read more
We stopped in because we read they were dog friendly. Boy was that an understatement! They loved our little dog, she got lots of... attention from the staff. I could be picky and point out some things here and there that could be better with the food/service,and it seemed like maybe our waitress was new, didn't ask if we wanted another round of beers or dessert etc. but you know itwas so friendly of a place we won't hold any of that against them and we'll be back next time we are in the area. In town for an event and love tex mex so we decided to try this place. Everything was good...chips and salsa, margaritas and our... entrees. Only negative about the food was the rice was not Mexican rice and had little flavor. The hostess was very distracting.It took her a while to seat us and when she did she spent most of the time chatting loudly with the table next to us. I usuallydon't complain about stuff but I felt this needed to be addressed. We will come back if in town again. Read more
