Terrible experience! First, they had one person doing pretty much everything so we had to ask for everything (including the... check) three times. The sushi came out very quickly but, like, too quickly. It was clear that no energy had been put intorolling them as they were basically falling apart. The recommended chicken teriyaki was essentially BBQ chicken and miso soupwas awful. Finally, when they brought my bill back the pen was leaking all over, including onto the magnetic strip of my debitcard, which no longer works. Finally, on our way out we discovered that their health rating was 80/100...NOT what you want for aplace serving raw fish! It was not worth it at all, don't waste your time. Read more
The food was tasty. The location is great. The service was lacking. The furniture is old and worn. If you are looking for... tasty sushi and don't mind an atmosphere that is lacking and mediocre service this place is great. The prices were reasonavle. Read more
Went with a co-worker for dinner and had a great time. I tried a few of the sushi dishes and he got the ramen. He seemed to... enjoy himself and I definitely enjoyed myself. The sushi was fresh and very reasonably priced. Would definitely there again! Read more
I wish I had something nice to say here, but unfortunately I don't. This was probably the worst dining experience I've had in... the past year or two. Service: no one came to our table to give us menus, so we had to walk up to the bar to order ourselves.It was like no one was assigned to our table, and none of the servers took initiative to address it. Servers walked past usrepeatedly without a single person saying "have you been helped yet?" Honestly, it was the worst service I've experienced in along time, maybe ever. Food: we ordered two rolls of sushi. The Godzilla Roll was okay...passable. The Falcon Roll, on theother hand, was just plain bad (see photo). The Falcon Roll was $15, one of the most expensive rolls on the menu, and there washardly any fish inside. When I'm eating sushi, I shouldn't have bites that are only rice. Honestly, this was the mostdisappointed I've ever been in a roll of sushi. When I came to Zuma/Umai or whatever it's called, I was in the mood for sushiand just wanted an average experience. To my surprise, I got bad sushi and bad service. I don't leave 1-star reviews unless Ifeel the restaurant truly deserved it, and in this case, Zuma/Umai wholeheartedly deserved this rating. Read more
