We came to Atlanta from Paris and desired some authentic Mexican food like we formerly enjoyed living in San Diego 5 years... previously. Zocalo certainly fulfilled our desires. The chips and salsa were like we remembered and I had the steak burrito andthe wife had the shrimp enchiladas. Both were very tasty with the Cadillac margaritas we enjoyed with our meals. The steakburrito came with sides of sour cream, salsa and a special sauce with just the right amount of heat in these condiments. Theservice was friendly, responsive and fast. We liked the outdoor patio with the pleasant temperatures. The waitress was veryfriendly and we recommend this place for anyone craving good Mexican cuisine. We made reservations online which is probably agood idea for weekend dining. We walked from our midtown hotel which was a pleasant walk going and returning to the hotel withbellies pleasantly full! Our bill was perhaps high with the multiple Cadillac margaritas but we were very happy with the entiredining experience. Read more
This place was complete trash. Horrible horrible stay away. First this is not authentic Mexican food at all. You can instantly... taste the American taco seasoning with anything you get. The food is overpriced for something that taste worst than Taco Bell.I’m not sure how people rate this good when the food right after I left made me vomit. I wouldn’t even feed it to my dogsthat’s how bad it was. Not only that but at first they didn’t even want to give me a refund when I only ate 1 bite andinstantly was disgusted. The only reason I am giving a one star is because eventually they did give me a refund, and you can’trate anything less than a 1 star. Please do better people get manipulated by the good reviews but it is not good at all. Alsohow are you a restaurant in the south but you don’t sell sweet tea. Not a great experience at all. The staff was very friendly,knowledgeable and helpful. I had 3 chicken enchiladas and asked for the sauces on the side. I don't... like my Mexican food covered in sauce where I can't taste anything else. The outside seating area was funky. I been thereseveral times since. The food had been as wonderful as the first time. The Baja Shrimp Tacos were great. The 3rd time I askedfor pineapple instead of avocado. Me and friend came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The complimentary valet was definitely a surprise and a bonus. We... started with a pitcher of margaritas and shrimp cocktail. We both were expecting the shrimp cocktail to be served the way itwas, but it was different and overwhelming sweet as well. The loaded nachos were pretty good, just had to add more salsa sinceit was a little dry. Overall, we had a great night and the atmosphere was a vibe. Read more
