Ambiance great was romantic and dim. Wanted a charcuterie board and found Zola?s and I wasn?t disappointed. Walked in and I was... warmly greeted by the hosted she was amazing and I thought I was going to have an amazing experience. I decided to sit at thebar and was served by Alberto he was a bit short i didn't think much of it. I ordered the sangria which was amazing and a cheeseboard he asked if I wanted to keep the menu after ordering I said yes when my cheese board came out I see why he asked theboard was huge and I was alone; I feel like he should have mention it. Told me what was on the board and left. A couple satbeside me at the bar and he was so welcoming wishing them a happy thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and everything cheers, clingtheir glasses the whole nine. I asked him after eating a 10th of my food is there a way that this can be boxed in the back hesaid he can bring me out a box and I can do it he?s busy or something like that he said that while walking off, which isunderstandable with cross contamination and everything else but that response was very dismissive. I wanted to try a few otherthings on the menu but I decided to go at that point I was a entirely too uncomfortable. I will be back but probably won?t sitat the bar. Read more

The food was great! Drinks were awesome! We sat at the bar and the waiter was nice and attentive. He handed us our checks and... told us to ?make it rain? all laughs right? We signed for our checks, he walked away and then brought them back and said ?dobetter? as it pertained to the tip, which was 20%. Y?all need to tell him to do better. Read more

My friends were very excited to take me to the "Best Kept Secret in Grant Park" and this place is definitely a gem. The... atmosphere is great and the food was even better. It is definitely unassuming from the outside, but it is very specialinside. We ate with two little kids and Ziba's had a small but ample kids menu. The food was really good for kids food (I stolesome pasta and French fried). For dinner, I got the Jambalaya with Shrimp, Chicken, and Andouille. It was very good and hugeportion. It came with an awesome slice of spicy cornbread that was served warm. My friends got the Barbacoa and Avocado Saladwhich also looked amazing. I'm knocking a star for price. The food was much more expensive than I would have guessed and theyeven charged for soda refills (which was not explained beforehand). The service was also lackluster but they seemed to be shortstaffed. All in all, I would recommend it. Ziba's offers great atmosphere for a special occasion or a simple night out withdate or family. Give them a try! (just don't tell anyone) Read more

Don't let the outside scare you away! It has been about 10 years since my first visit to this restaurant and, man, shame on me... for not coming back more often. The menu is really great - something for everyone. We had a table with diverse tastes andeveryone raved about their meals. The service was GREAT...friendly and on top of it. The vibe reminded me a little of someplaces in New Orleans or even Europe - rustic, scruffy but also really pretty and delicious. Go visit this spot. Now. Do it. Read more

We were greeted at the door and sat with our reservation. It took about 10 minutes for someone to bring waters. We went and got... menus ourselves. Then a different person greeted us (server) and the experience was great from there. Cheese curds were justright. 1/2 spinach and 1/2 avocado salad sizable for price. Entrees were chicken picatta (excellent) and mexican meatball whichwas super flavorful in a great broth and a huge portion (most came home with us bc we ordered too much). Server was reallypleasant and attentive through the meal. Very ecelctic menu and lots of other things we wanted to try. Interior is dim and cozy- good date spot. Way bigger inside than it looks from the street. We lucked out with parking but can see how that could beproblematic for any other day/time than a Monday at open (5pm). Read more

Good drinks????terrible male Server #0016 Alberto was prejudice and so rude walked away while we were ordering food to greet a... regular customer. He never said anything to us.. he acted like he didn't want to serve us.. I ordered raw oysters it's notpleasing to eat old seafood. I pray for Chef Gordon Ramsey from Hell's kitchen to pop up and be served raw oysters at thisplace. He would definitely ????the server My friend and I ate one raw oyster on a cracker that was it for the both of us. I paid$21.00 for nothing. The Server had the nerve to bring out a take out container. I started to tell him to eat the old rawoysters. The 1* is for the female host she was very very friendly and welcoming. Read more

This place is the definition of hole in the wall. And with hole in the walls, you find the best stuff. No exception to this... place. We were greeted warmly and found our seat. We got our drinks and saw the menu. Its limited but has a wide array oftastes. I ordered the jambalaya wondering how well it would be cooked. I was not disappointed. It was seasoned perfectly withthe right amount of spices and plenty of shrimp and meat. I was pleasantly surprised. My son had the bacon burger (which bythe way, kids eat free) and he finished the whole thing. We then ordered the strawberry shortcake. It came a little messy butwas good nonetheless. You have to be on the lookout to find this place, but you will not be disappointed when you do. And Ididn't even mention the beer and wine they have! Read more
