This restaurant is in a hotel (Whitley) but there was no formal host to welcome us, so no point of having made a reservation. We... finally found a random waiter and asked where we could sit. They offered us a spot in the dining room, which was empty as if itwas shut down. Everyone else was in the main room and bar area. Once we finally did have a server, it was ages between takingeach order between drinks, appetizers, and main. Cocktails were lackluster to terrible. Food was average. Prawns were actuallygood. Ribs were too sweet and lacked fresh taste. Sad that the cornbread was the highlight. Never to return. Read more

First allow me to preface it was my first time in the bar area and not the restaurant. Secondly I?m slightly biased because I... received excellent service. Now I?ve always wondered what the draw of hotel bars were? now I understand and acknowledge that theWhitley is on par with a few boutique SF AND NYC hotel?s I?ve stayed in. The bar is well laid out with the bathrooms rightbehind it and you can come and go from the bar to a separate lounge room to the main lounge area. A traditional French staircaseleads to the second floor where there is more modern European art. The main lobby and was as the hotel bar have interestingcontemporary Alice in Wonderland style of paintings. Now for the bar: cocktail menu is on par! The classics with atwist. Previously I had tried the Negroni and the scallops?. The drink was uneventful and the scallops were absolutelydelicious but the sides that came with it were bland especially the spinach. Words cannot express the combo of tenderness ofthe meat, the flair of the sauce and the slightly not even spicy jalapeño ranch. And my drink which was the Peachtree & Lenoxwas a great drink but strong! If there was less alcohol it would be an excellent aperitif. The service was slow in thebeginning as no one came by to ask if I?d like to order a drink one of the woman on staff seemed as if she were purposelyavoiding me. Once I went to the bar for water someone finally came over and took my order. After that it waspleasant. Definitely overpriced for drinks and appetizers however I am in a luxury hotel. Great ambiance with live musiciansfor a Tuesday night with an interesting set list and covers. I?ll be back next Tuesday. And most importantly better servicethen. Four stars for having to call for a server after sitting down for about 15 mins. No water, no napkin, no menu. Read more

It?s such a shame, this place is so beautiful, great location and the food is really good. But this is my second visit here and... the service is just terrible. From the Valet who are so slow, to the bartenders, to the servers. Most importantly, this is notreally a restaurant, it is a lounge. We made reservations for a birthday dinner and we?re initially seated at a very low loungetable chairs?.impossible to eat from. While we did get moved to a high top, the service was so slow we waited forever! Theyshould not be allowed to take reservations for dinner. Very disappointing! Read more

At noon, on a Wednesday in Buckhead, we were the only table. That was the first thing that seemed a little off. It's a... brightly lit place that's awkwardly positioned around the corner from the bar so it felt as if we were in a conference room byourselves. No music, no atmosphere at all. Service was fine, a bit rushed and a little haphazard, but not unpleasant. Theappetizers (boiled peanut hummus with fresh and pickled veggies, rolls with bacon jam and honey butter) were well executed andincredibly tasty. The mains were just okay. I had a spinach salad with strawberries and chicken that wasn't that different intaste or quality than what you could get at the Cheesecake Factory across the street. My co-workers got the Burrata salad andTurkey Burger with sweet potato tots. The tots were very good, the burger was okay and the Burrata would have been great had wenot found a hair (!) wrapped up in the prosciutto half way through. Yuck. It happens in restaurants, I know, and they compedit for us, which was awesome. But it just capped off a "meh" experience with even more "meh". For the price, the service andfood should be pretty stellar, they were not. Read more

My husband and I decided on this restaurant purely for it location. The reviews were not great but we decided to go anyway. ... The food was really good, the desert was out of this world, the staff was attentive and kind. One of our waiters was?Memphis?, it was his first night but he was amazing. He was nice, talked with us, and backed off when he needed to. We willdefinitely be back!!! Read more
