I came here on a first date for brunch. I made reservations online and when I arrived the hostess called me by name before I... stated who I was. Our server was amazing. I order a salmon on brioche with a side of grits and breakfast potatoes. The meal wasAMAZING! We sat on the rooftop patio and had mimosas with our meal. This was a place I had passed many times but was not luckyenough to visit until now. I will definitely return! Read more
This place is tucked away, down the street/near Surin and behind Dark Horse Tavern on Highland. After traveling up three sets of... dark stairs, we finally arrived to a rustic looking decor (only way I can think to describe it) with a patio. We enjoyed thepatio although it was one of Atlanta's cooler days. The wait staff was pleasant although not overly cheery (Maybe tired althoughit was only 12:30. Or maybe they were understaffed and stressed). Our server provided us with suggestions without much fanfareor excitement but with knowledge of the menu. Our food took longer than I think it should have for breakfast/brunch food, so ldeducted a star for that. We ordered an appetizer that did not arrive until after our food and dessert, but I will not deductfor that since they gave it to us for free. However I will deduct a point because after waiting for some time to receive the(complementary) salmon croquettes, they were underwhelming, greasy and covered and a mango/pineapple mixture that did not hidetheir taste or the greasiness. On a positive note, my husband and I both had the lobster omelette and enjoyed it. It was pairedwith breakfast potatoes that were good and seasoned well. The couple with us ordered the shrimp and grits and salmon BLT. Bothsaid their meals were average, nothing special. And finally, we had the bread pudding for dessert versus as an appetizer asadvertised on the menu. It was fair. But the run punch was tasty! Overall, I give the Warren City Club three stars for theambiance (patio) and the drinks. Read more
I recently had my 50th birthday dinner at the Warren This is a really nice venue for a private event. I loved the patio with... the fire pits. The indoor ambiance with lit tea candles all over and the fireplaces created a relaxing and sexy vibe. I havenever dined at the Warren so I did not know what to expect. The food was delicious! My entree menu included the salmon withcrab relish and the braised beef short rib both served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My guest enjoyed dinner and theKrispy Kreme bread pudding as well. They were impressed. Kudos to the chef! Callie the event coordinator was very helpfulwith my planning and accommodating with special request. Thanks again for making my gathering a success! Read more
So good. Roux on Shrimp & Grits too salty. They did offer to remake. That was nice! I was full off the bread pudding! So it... worked out. Read more
Brunch was good! It was taken the next level by the great weather and vibes of the rooftop setting. We had the chef's omelette... the day. It consisted of steak, mozzarella, peppers, and cheese. It was great. I ordered the crabcake eggs benedict. Thecrabcakes could be seasoned better, but meal was good. We also had the chicken and waffles. The peach butter was delicious andthe chicken was perfect. Service was great as well. We would certainly return. Read more
How have I lived in Atlanta for this long without visiting the Warren City Club?? Whatever the reason, i'm just happy that we've... added another brunch spot to our rotation. The Warren City Club is a great little brunch spot with a nice outdoor space withsome nice views. Food - We started with the Krispy Kreme Donut Bread Pudding (RIP Krispy Kreme) and it did not disappoint.Really, what's not to like with this little treat. My only advice here is to maybe order this as a dessert, not as an app as wedid but it just sounded too good to wait. For our entrees, we ordered the Cajun Shrimp and Grits and the "Nashville" FriedChicken & Waffles. The Shrimp and Grits were super tasty but my favorite was the Chicken & Waffle. I love Chicken & Waffles andthis one did not disappoint! The only negative is that I won't want to try anything else the next time we visit because I'lljust want to order the Chicken & Waffles every time. Drinks - We ordered a Mimosa (because Sunday brunch) and a Bloody Mary. Both were great and would order again. Atmosphere - We dined outside on the patio which was fabulous. It even had some decentviews. If the weather is nice, make sure you sit outside. Service - Our server was amazing. She was super nice, funny andattentive. Unfortunately, I do not recall her name but you'll know whether or not if you're lucky enough to sit at hertable. Value - No complaints here. I actually think the food is reasonably priced. Overall, we loved this brunch spot and willdefinitely be back! Read more
