I took my sister here for lunch and it was the best dining experience I've had in a long time. Our server was Michael! Shout out... to him for making our outing so spectacular. He was very informative about the menu and our drinks. He made us laugh and we feltvery cared for. The food spoke for itself. The lobster salad was so light and fresh. From the nice guys with Valet parking, to the host, to the servers and management, our Anniversary was catered perfectly; we... enjoyed our meals, the ambiance, and the selection of meals, drinks, desserts, etc was excellent. I had the Chef's special agedbone in NY strip...boy that steak was thick, juicy, and very very tender. The butter sauce was very good as well. No steak sauceneeded. My salad was fresh and above average. My Au Gratin potatoes, well, it was ok..too much toasted topping; maybe a slip ofhand in the kitchen. But, I could also tell the potatoes were fresh sliced; needed a little salt. My beverage wasPellegrino. Wife had the Lamb chops. She ate everything less the bones LOL. Needless to say anymore, she thoroughly enjoyed it.Her side was the spinach with garlic. I took a taste....super fresh, and delicious. Her drink was the Bohemian....ladies, ya gotto have it ????. Have 2 of those and your night will be fun. For dessert we shared the Anniversary treat. When you bookreservations let them know what special occasion you may be celebrating. Finally, The service was also excellent. Antonio gaveus suggestions, never rushed us, and kept checking on us. The other staff and management also were great. They all catered to usand acknowledged our Anniversary. Charming indeed. FYI the cheesecake, OMG, is the best I've ever had. The cheesecake factoryhas nothing on this cheesecake. Incredible steaks, incredible service. Sometimes you just have to enjoy life a little. And this is a place to do it, especially... if you're hungry! Obviously the steaks are good, but perfection is the word that keeps coming to mind. They were cookedperfectly. They were extremely tender. They were not overseasoned or under seasoned. My wife and our future son-in-law hadsteak with the pepper sauce, but I just went for the plain old bone-in ribeye. Really amazing. Couple of other points. Thesalads were fresh and tasty. The drinks were excellent. The sides are "for the table" which of course means sharing a bigportion. If you're concerned about budget, you probably shouldn't even be reading this review... This is a great place for aromantic (good impression) date, business meeting, or special occasion. The decor is leather and wood and looks high-end andupscale. The service is also excellent. Jeff was our server and he took great care of us. This is not one of those hold ontoyour fork kind of places. We must have gone through 12 pieces of flatware. My wife loves that! If there is a downside, it's thelogistics of parking and getting inside. If you live in the Buckhead area you're probably used to it. If you're driving in Iwould go ahead and pay the $10 valet parking fee and take the easy way out... The restaurant is upstairs and requires anelevator ride. I would recommend reservations. 10/10 for fine dining in Atlanta! From the moment we arrived we were treated with dignity and respect, which some fine dining... establishments still could use improvement in. We arrived shortly before our reservation and were seated right on time. Thehostess was polite. Our waiter Kenneth was 10 star, excellent in service, knowledge of the menus and class. We were given ahandwritten note, rose petals and a complimentary desert for our anniversary and a booth with a pleasant view of the city. Neverwere we rushed (as we enjoyed time to relax and just talk over food) and our waters stayed filled. I could write a book on howgood the food was, hands down best steak I’ve had in the city! My medium was exactly that, not medium rare, not medium well,but a perfect medium! Side dishes are largely portioned and shareable for multiple people. Had dinner herr for my birthday and the service was lovely. The staff was very thoughtful with a birthday card and confetti on... the table. They were timely with the food and recommendations were on point! The food was delicious! We had the crb and lobstercakes the lamb and steak and lobster. They also gave us complimentary champagne and a birthday desert. Overall wonderfulexperience! Read more
The food was exceptional. I haven't been back to this place in 5 years and it still holds its standards. The ambience was still... nice as I remembered. I loved my seabass dish. Very flavorful. We got tuna tartare and lobster and crab cakes for ourappetizers. We got wild mushrooms and Brussels sprouts for side dishes and the portions were big enough for 4 people to share. Iloved how flavorful the Brussels sprouts were. Ended the night with creamy strawberry cheesecake and you could never go wrongwith cheesecakes. Staff was very friendly, polite and attentive. Expensive, but completely worth it! Every mouthful was heavenly, although the brussel sprouts were too sweet for our taste and... became too much after a while. I'm sure many would still love them. The asparagus was awesome along with the spinach with nobitterness, although the garlic did not look confit. The ribeye was cooked perfectly medium well and full of flavor. Although Itold them that I had no special requests, I did tell them that we were celebrating our anniversary, and so they brought out abeautiful little desert plate. The flour-less chocolate cake and cheesecake were incredibly light and wonderful. Along with theincredible service, The Capital Grille was an absolute experience.
