We ordered Taco Mac (Cumberland location) on 10/03/2022 through DoorDash at 10:00pm. Ordered the garlic salmon with broccoli and... cilantro rice & a quesadilla. Upon opening my broccoli I noticed the bottom stems were rotten and moldy and then noticed LOTS ofMAGGOTS in the broccoli. I came out with a friend to see a movie at AMC Cumberland nearby and we hung out here?. I ordered grilled salmon and my friend... ordered grilled chicken?. Both were so delicious? we had a wonderful time here, our server Jessica was so wonderful?. I and myfriend really enjoyed ourselves here?. I had a underwhelming experience. It was my very first time at Taco mac I heard so many raving reviews, I was thoroughly... excited. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and mozzarella cheese sticks. The mozzarella sticks were amazing but the chickenCaesar salad was highly disappointing. The chicken was burnt and salty and there was a hair in my salad! my waitress wasunderstanding and allowed me to substitute the salad for something that was equivalent in price, or so I was under theimpression to believe. When I was time to receive the bill my party received incorrect billing. This ultimately lead to mepersonally paying more than what I was supposed to be charge for but I wasn?t inconvenienced by the two dollar up charge. I feelas if this issue could?ve been avoided if the orders were written down correctly. When the altercation occurred I felt thewaitress tried to blame us for her misjudgment of being able to recall who ordered what and it was disheartening. I live across the street so this place is quick getaway for beer and bar food. But there?s always something wrong. Always. It... could be so simple. But nooooooo! I ordered pretzels and after 20+ mins of waiting on them there was plastic in my cheese. Themanager showed the least amount of care. Didn?t ask to fix it. Just to take the food off the bill. Like?effort? Care? Where isit? This place needs to do better all around. But I will no longer spend my dollars there. Read more
First time being at this location wasn?t bad. The food was cooked well. The server did her job and was attentive for the most... part could be better but it wasn?t horrible. I generally really enjoy Taco Mac but I haven't had good luck with this location. Most recent trip I waited an hour before... receiving the wrong food. I would recommend just about any Taco Mac but this one. Read more
Upon walking in the door, I picked up on a stale odor. The host was not professional at all and he sat me at a dirty table. It... took awhile for a server to come to the table and I noticed the servers staring at me and my date like they did not want toserve us or something...it made me pretty uncomfortable. I got that vibe that the servers were saying some ugly things at thesoda fountain about us. The collective attitude here was just terrible. After experiencing all this, the manager came andapologized about the dirty table. This really disappoints me because Taco Mac is a place that I have always considered hip andthis sort of shattered my illusion. I had beef street tacos. They were bad. The labor shortage and the pandemic might be afactor here and I get the impression that the team here is feeling under appreciated and over worked. I think it is a good signthat there is a serious need for labor reform in our country. I want good service and that is only possible when people can behappy when they work. Watch the bartender! I just finished dinner at Taco Mac. I had a raw piece of chicken in my boneless wing, but I wasn?t going to... say anything about it. They?re not going to cut open every wing, so I just set it aside on my plate. What amazed me was that thebartender tried my beer, and not with a straw. Me and my friend both got light colored beers, so she was trying to tell whichwas which. I told a manager and he kind of laughed it off and said he was about to leave. Before I left, a manager came over andsaid ?I understand your had a raw piece of chicken?. I said ?yes, but the bartender also tried my beer?. He apologized, askedwho it was, and then said ?I?ll be right back?. I waited for 10 minutes and he never came back, so I figured it wasn?t importantenough. I like wings and I like beer, but I probably will not be back to Taco Mac after that experience! Read more
