Reviews for Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint in Atlanta, GA
It?s official! This is the worst place ever. This is my second time coming and being disappointed with my overall experience. I... would give no stars but to give a review I have to put this down. So, the first picture you see is the so called shrimp andgrits! Where should I start: it was clumpy, dry, no seasoning, and such a small amount for a high price. Then you have thesecond picture which was the so called famous pasta. Not sure what was so famous because it was poorly seasoned, tasted likeflour and over cooked shrimp. The water tasted like sink water unfiltered. All the food was warm or cold. Nothing was hot. For a$225 tab we should have had an amazing dine and we did not. I would advise you to not go here and find a better place to wineand dine. Because I promise you this not it. The only thing that was a hit was the live band. The place was better when I use tocome before the pandemic. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Read more
Great entertainment! But it stops there, the server wasn't helpful at all. The food was cold and had no flavor, the manager was... very nice though. This is a good place to only go and watch the band and have cocktails Read more
Love this restaurant and the vibe. Live entertainment was great. Restaurant was full so had maybe a five minute wait and were... seated at the bar. Not our favorite spot but by sitting at the bar we were able to interact with the maître d' Kevin. He wassuperb and dressed to the nines! We ordered the ribs, Mac & cheese, Parmesan cheese grits, and got the collards for free becausethey brought them too me instead of the Mac & cheese at first. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I ordered theshrimp appetizer, sweet tea and a beer on the first ticket and only got the beer. I had to ask for my tea and the appetizer, which was brought out after the entree. They were very busy but we were patient and just enjoyed the atmosphere andconversation. They have more wine selections than beer which is only a downside to us because we don?t drink wine. We willdefinitely go again on our next visit to Atlanta. Read more
We had to wait due to running late to our reservation time; however, it was worth the wait and I?ll definitely be returning. I... ordered the shrimp and grits, and my vegetarian friend ordered the fried tomatoes with grits. We both genuinely enjoyed ourmeals. Very delicious and tasty. Read more
Great evening dinner atmosphere. Surprised my hubby for his Birthday and Retirement by eating dinner here. Our dinner was... delicious, waiter was attentive, music was excellent (R&B and Jazz Vocalist on this particular evening). We?ll be back! Read more
1st time visiting. Nice atmosphere, up to date. The live music was great, staff was friendly and attentive. The food on the... other hand not so much. I would visit again though. Read more
Visiting Atlanta this weekend for the Maxwell concert. This was our first stop. The atmosphere was nice, I really enjoyed the... live band however, the food and drinks not so much. We ordered the catfish and fried green tomatoes which were good. I ordered aMojito that taste like sugar water, very weak. My husband ordered a beer can't really mess that up. Then we ordered our maindishes. I had the pulled pork and slaw. It had no seasoning in it at all, none. The bbq sauce had a strange taste to it so thatdidn't help. Slaw was dry it was just shredded cabbage and collards. My husband ordered the ribs mac n cheese and mash potatoes. He ate a couple of bites of each and that was that. The fries were really good though. Maybe it was an off night, we'll tryagain next time we're in town. Read more
